for example:
Bloom states that i need to use 0.3-0.7ml/L. So if I dilute it to that level, it is 4-8-7?
I usually take 5 ml of solution and add 250ml of water. My solution now is .02ml per ml of water. So take 10 ml of that diluted solutoin:
.02ml x 10ml = .2ml nutes per 10ml of solution. I now add the to the liter of water which I feed the plants.
Also,
4-8-7 is the percentage of nutrient in the bottle. But when my base nutrient is water (say 250 ml per liter) then it becomes the RATIO of nutrients in the solution. The percentage is now VERY LOW because it was diluted.
NPK of solution = (N or P or K of nutrient X ml nutrient used) /liter(1000ml water)
%N = (4 x 250ml)/1000ml = 1.0 per liter
%P = (8 x 250ml)/1000ml = 2.0 per liter
%K = (7 x 250ml)/1000ml = 1.75 per liter
So i would need 4 ml per liter to get the %?
The ratio does not change, but the value does. So does this mean, I am not feeding them enough??
Now I have the NPK of solution (1-2-1.75). By your terms, this is not enough. But if I use full strength, I get some burns and lockout...
Also how does PPM play into this?
In addition, post flushing, what should i do? Use the veg formula for the keeping the lower leaves and taking care of the nitrogen issues first, and then switch to the bloom the next time I use fert?
