Only thing about foil is if its crumpled it'll create hot spots and burn your plants. If the enclosure is fairly small I'd just not do it at all.

I used tin foil for about two weeks during the seedling stage, but then I went to walmart and bought some emergency blankets. They are only 2 something dollars a piece and they are made of mylar. I have about 5 of them now in my growing room and they work great. If you have to use tin foil just make sure to check your plants for hot spots, but I really would try to get some mylar.

make sure its the shiny side, not the dull side, and yea try to not make creases in it (dont let your gf help basically....)

Edit: or paint them walls as white as possible.

aluminum foil only reflects about 50% light. Flat white paint or the dull side of poster board would be much better ~90%.

and the emergency blankets is a great idea.

So the thing about aluminum foil or tin foil is that when used to reflect light because of the bent edges (basically impossible to avoid) this directs the light into points which may or may not create hot spots on your leafs.

I had white walls in my cupboard which i heard was fine, but decided to cover the walls with a safety blanket i bought for £2-3 from amazon i think, one blanket managed to do my with grow area, its worked fine with no issues really cheap alternative might be worth a try

I'd paint it white. Would be easier than tinfoil.

I hope you can move your light down, its a CFL and should be a few inches from the plant at all times
