Manganese Deficiency

Hey all. I was wondering if anyone had a brand of fert to use for my manganese deficiency. Maybe something i could grab at a home depot / lowes/ nursery. I wanted to try the foliar feed method. Also, should I use a wetting agent? If i remember correctly, just plain old ivory dish soap at a mix of 2 drops per gallon is sufficient. Right? Ty ahead of time :weed:

Manganese isn't really a common deficiency.

Just to clarify, you don't mean magnesium do you?

Anyway, any all purpose fert will have the necessary micronutrients, and any liquid nute like General Hydro Micro will do the job as well.

Through research and comparing soil conditions, additives, and soil ph, as well as my leaves versus many pictures of the deficiency. I have used, inadvertently, too much calmag. Therefore locking out manganese. Besides, what will a little foliar feed of that hurt? General hydro micro... tyvm Buggins =oD

I'm not sure how safe it would be to foliar feed the GH micro, it has a lot of nitrogen in it. Probably safer to flush, and then apply a light solution to the soil.

I would get a couple other opinions first.

Unfortunately I don't know a good source of just manganese ... without purchasing a bottle of, say manganese sulfate. Anyone else?

cheers 'neer

try adding epsom salt for both foliar feeding and watering

Epsom salts supply Magnesium and Sulphur (Magnesium Sulphate) NOT Manganese.

You start running into problems when you try to correct micronutrient issues individually. You are far better off flushing, and then re-applying a balanced fertilizer that contains all the necessary micro nutes.
