Is this nute burn?

Growing in soil, Ph is 6.4, using GH flora series nutrients and Lucas formula. Temperatures during the day are about 78, there is plenty of clearance between the light and the plants, and the plants are in 10 gallon pots.

I noticed a some rusty blotches a few days ago, but nowhere near this bad. Fed the girls before I left town for a few days, came home to find this.

The problem you see is only showing up on one strain out of three. It is localized to the top of the plant only, the newer growth seems to be all that is effected.

I'm not very good at being able to differentiate between nute burn, deficiencies, and fungus problems. I THINK this is nute burn, but I'm a little confused because I thought nute burn would start at the tips of the leaves and work backwards. This seems to be showing up in the middle of leaves and kind of randomly. Makes me think that there is a possibility it could be some sort of fungus.

What do you think?

so you have a soli tester to test your ph then? id guess its either a ph issue or a micro problem. id get some cal mag or earth juice microblast and add it to my feeding schedule if i was you. are you feeding anything for your micro?

I have a Hana TDS Meter, and Ph tester. I watered with RO and test the first bit of runoff.

I am feeding the Lucas formula, which is 8ml of micro, and 16ml of bloom per gallon of water.

The soil is amended with dolomite lime as well.

What do you mean? I just said I mix at 8ml of micro, and 16ml bloom per gallon. I feed with enough solution that I get about 10-15% runoff each time, and I'm running a water-water-feed schedule.

I may measure by tsp's but shoot for my targeted ppm for the current stage of growth
That how you burn'em add it by the tsp or tbs at a time! If I over shoot the ppm you water it down some.
I forget about your plants dude Their different types of burns and nutrient toxicities
like build up of salts in the grow medium whether it's dirt or rock wool or whatever it's burnt!

Oh sorry, I'm at about 950-1100 ppm depending on how shaky my hands are on the day.

Its nute burn flush and feed at half strength to 3/4 strength.

you really should try and be more accurate with your measurements, the more stable the feeding the more stable the growth pattern. pick up some syringes, they work great and 100% guaranteed the same measurement every time. not like those stupid shot glasses, i hate those things and they are for shit imo.

but with ppms in that range you really shouldnt be suffering from nute burn. even at 1100 ppm the soil is going to buffer it down. i think you may have a ph issue with to much salt build up in your soil. either way id suggest an immediate heavy flush and then follow up with 1/4 strength nutes next feed. based on the info you have given this is where my heads at unless anyone else has any ideas.

Yeah, I think you're right. I figured nute burn at those ppms was unlikely, so I've probably got some salt buildup. I'm going to flush tonight and re-apply at 1/4 strength and see how she goes. I had been using a syringe up until I re-potted into 10 gallon containers. At this point the amount of nutrient solution needed was becoming a pain in the ass to use the syringe because I would have to re-fill it multiple times, whereas the little measured plastic cups I could just pour the entire dose in at once and save me a lot of time. But you're right, that's no excuse, and obviously it doesn't take much to get my doses out of whack.

EDIT: I should also mention that I'm NOT mixing the micro and bloom together, which it might sound like I was doing. I know to pour the micro into the water, mix well, and then pour in the bloom and mix again.

you just need a larger syringe, i have an 80 ml syringe that kicks ass.

you are mixing the nutes right which just prevents lockup of the nutes. but you are not feeding 2 seperate feeds are you? one for micro and then one for bloom? its all together in one mix right? im pretty sure thats what you said but just double checking.

I'll have to source out a bigger syringe, the one I'm using is 10ml which is a pain in the ass when you're dealing with larger doses.

And to answer your question, yes, I am feeding the micro and bloom together in the same solution.

Classic signs of nute burn. Which is strange at those PPM's, but nonetheless, that's what it looks like.

I don't think its nute burn based on how high the damage is on your plant. I believe nute burn would burn your plant from the bottom up, and I noticed your top was damage, yet some lower nodes weren't. If you flush and it gets worst, try adding more nitrogen brother. Til then later!

lol worse advice ever. Please show me where it says nute burns start from the bottom and travels up. I think you should do some research on immobile and mobile nutrients
Nitrogen def starts from the bottom and goes up not top up. Your ass backward sorry.

Notice on the pic, how almost ALL the visible leaf TIPS are all brown and dead looking?? That's not a sign of N def, it's a sign of nute burn. At 900-1100 PPM's where he's at in flower, it's not an N def. That's not what N def looks like in flower.

Also if nute burn damages your plant, it will slowly raise from node to node til it reachs the top. But before moving to the next node it will consume at least 60% of the Foliar of the lower node. Thats just my opinion.
