Raven - have a real common name, and to make it worse just in my circle of friends there was 3 of us with the same first name so our friends just started picking names to deffrentiate us. In High school I went to an all boys school for 2 years so I got into debate/poetry competitions because they were co-ed. I was the only student allowed to read the "Raven" by Edgar Allen Poe, our teacher never gave an explanation for this past, "It fits him" which told me nothing. A friend of mind found out and thats what they started calling me. Worked for me because I like ravens, their pranksters. And that school was so fucking stressful I would prank people just to keep the mood light.
Mochi- first have to explain Inugami's. Inugami is the practice of starving a dog for around two weeks, then cutting off its head when it reaches a peak of desperation, then binding its soul, normally to a family, and sometimes to a person. When a person would get possessed by one they were said to be healed of even the worste ailments, but would have the habit of every now and then showing dog behaviors. The possessed was referred to as a 'Mochi'. As a side note, its also apparently what a particular Japanese snack is called. Go figure. So ravenmochi would be someone possessed by a raven's spirit.
Goddamn, didn't realize it was going to take an essay's worth to describe it or I would have skipped this thread.
