I searched the forums, but was surprised to see that this thread didn't already exist!

I'm wondering what a lot of the RIU users do for a living. I know some of you grow as a full time job, but I'm looking more for the people who get up go to work, come home and toke up. Not necessarily in that order though :mrgreen:

Also what job do you guys think is best for somebody who does smoke? I currently work at a grocery store making min wage, and want to know what other possibilities there are for a younger stoner. :peace:
 
meh wal mart, other grocery stores and security. Lots of stoners work at these kinds of jobs, get an apartment and grow. You won't need any other job. But minimum wage here is 10.30 an hour so you don't exactly starve at all or anything

I use to do overnight stocking at walmart lol.

Here 7.35 an/hr. is min. wage...

Yeah, I'm at 7.3 too. But I get a .15 raise in a couple weeks! lol

I actually love working in a kitchen. I was a food runner and a waiter for a while and it was great. I have considered getting my culinary certification, because I also enjoy cooking. I just get cold feet when it comes to school, because that's a lot of debt when you don't know if you will like that career!

When you say Chef? I was in the trenches for many years. held titles as Banquet Chef and sous chef. I find when people post as Chef they mean cook. Just wondering..

I mean cook, I never said chef. I'm a huge Bourdain fan, I know the difference!

Also, as an addendum to my last post, I get paid $7.3/hr get paid weekly and have to pay $10/check for my union dues... that's what you get for working in a Safe Way though! lol
 
ive been wondering this too! i have my medical card, and i guess i could work at a dispensary or something. but i hear they dont make much. anywhere else you have to be clean to start working, and i dont think i could make it through an interview without weed lol.

Well, if you really are in Cleveland, I assume it's an indoor pool? Man, I don't miss those winters!

If it's any help Luger, try to find a place that does a mouth swab test. They only detect THC for the past 14 hours or so. This grocery store job I just got, surprised me with the test at the interview, and I passed. I hadn't smoked for a couple days, but it's better than detoxing for a month!
 
Beggar...Get a sign, maybe a pair of crutches and find a busy corner that isn't already taken.(preferably in the next city over from where you live, or farther)
 
Aye man keep smoking but take your ass to school brotha .... get you a degree in something. Ive neeeever stopped smoking, Graduated University of Texas class of 2010' with a BBA and landed a great job as a sales rep. Unless you wanna bust your ASS doing manual labor like a stupid slave ..... go to school. and there is NO reason you cant go to school. the government basically lets you profit by just attending classes. so many free grants and intrest free loans out there its ridiculous. Took me a while to realize this. im 24 and kinda got a late start but better late than never. Of course you'll have to potentially pass a drug test for a great job, but they send you to a lab, all you gotta do when you come to this fork in the road is swing by your local headshop and grab some quickfix, or synthetic urine, read the directions and your set. I'm 24, salaried at 100 grand a year and smoke weed EVERY day. i wake up, when i wake up, watch sportscenter and light one up. blunt, after blunt, after blunt. of course i do work, take care of your business of course, but im living a pretty easy life. BECAUSE I WENT TO SCHOOL.
 
Start a fake charity...

Or, start a real charity, and just state that over 80% of every dollar goes directly to the cause...Then just legally pocket the other 20%
