my plant has been flowering for about 4 weeks and is doing great!! There are many trichomes and smeellls fruity with lots of white hairs and some are turning brown. When do i know when to harvest? When the ALL the hairs turn red? iknow u have too look at the trichomes but i aint got a good magnifiying glass...so is the hair turning brown a good indicator??

yeah bro, post some pics.....
old timers will tell you to harvest when 50% of your hairs (stigmas) have turned red. you really just wanna get real close to the trichomes and when it looks like about half are not see through, but kind of milky lookin, thats your peak potency.

a microscope or magnifying glass only costs like 10-15 shipped from alot of places online IF you cant find any for 5-10 locally, which shouldnt happen. just need a 30x magnifying glass. lots of places carry them. if you plan on letting them go all the way and not chop at cloudy trichs this is from fdd's harvest tutorial which makes it clear when they reach that point.
"we will start with ripeness. most people say to check your trichromes with 30X magnification. i have other ways. when buds are done they look "done". the appearance of the bud changes. the leaves start to hook upwards and become hard and crispy. the calyxes will swell and the hairs will turn brown. you can see a golden tinge to the bud leaves. this is the amber crystals. they start to turn amber on the leaves first.
