Basically I have a good high dose of dxm, but Ive been in rehab for a couple weeks. I need to stop, and I mean.. I basically have, I was doing it for once a month for the past 3 months. Instead of daily. But basically I haven't done it in so long.. I think I am actually able to just do it without it being dangerous. I've learned my lesson. I cant even get it anymore anyways because I got caught stealing it and screw buying it. which now makes it a once every now and then thing.

But do drug tests even test for dxm? Id imagine they would because thats what Im there for. But if I can't do it its no big deal, I'm just wondering.

I'm pretty sure all drugs can be tested for, minus GHB which has some similarities to alcohol minus the gremlin rules.

Yeah they can test for it, but all it is, is a cough suppressant so it's completely legal. But I would check up on the laws of where you live, so don't blame it on me, lol.

Terribly sorry to bother you, but do you know of even one scientific document that has any evidence that DXM has ever produced Olney's Lesions in a human brain?

no there is no evidence that it does produce this in humans, but if it puts holes in rats brains there is reasonable suspicion that it can do the same to humans i would say

I actually haven't even seen one paper on it doing that to rats. :) I've seen a paper showing evidence that an unrelated drug, Dizocilpine, produced Olney's Lesions in rats. This drug is of a type all it's own, not an analog of either PCP or Ketamine, and is the most potent Dissociative I know. Extremely high quantities were administered intravenously.

word, did you see this one on erowid?

http://www.erowid.org/chemicals/dxm/dxm_health1.shtml

"Since then, Onley's lesions, also known as NMDA Antagonist Neurotoxicity or NAN, have been discovered with ketamine, PCP, and dextrorphan (the metabolite of DXM), as well as a bunch of dissociative drugs you won't find outside of a research lab.."

LOL Try another one bro. That wasn't made by Erowid, just a random contributor. Erowid wouldn't say "as well as a BUNCH of dissociative...". x) That article has NO sources or references of any kind. Choose your references wisely when in a discussion bro.

i kinda figured you would come back with that as i realized it didnt have any references, you're right

That's alright bro. A debate is nice, but a civil discussion is better. ;)

That doesn't negate the fact that they couldn't even produce Olney's Lesions with DIZOCILPINE in monkey's let alone humans! There have been numerous studies with monkey's using Ketamine PCP and DXM and no Lesions have arisen.

I think that this Young Frankenstein quote is best suited to this discussion.

Yes, I did read something of that incident when I was a student, but you have to remember that a worm... with very few exceptions... is not a human being.

true man, there is no proof it does anything to humans. still to me it is a bit unsettling that it can do damage to some animals at all when we know beautiful substances like cannabis and LSD are already proven to have no harm physical harm about them on any sort of living things brain.

Ever heard of Serotonin Syndrome? :)

as far as i know serotonin syndrome can only be gotten if you take a prescription SSRI or MAOI in combination with a psychedelic. LSD psilocybin and mescaline have never produced toxic effect by their self in humans it has been well tested from my understanding.

LSD has in rare cases lead to Serotonin Syndrome. There have been a handful of deaths from LSD Overdose. THC has several cases of Lethal Overdoses in animal studies.
