Growers remorse for this virgin NorCal grower

Well, I am at the end of my fifth month of my first ever two plant outdoor Norcal grow. With rain coming, I am going to trim and pull on Sunday.. I must say that I have been filled with anxiety for the past week which has seen me pull a third of my Sativa to hang and dry about a week ago. The reason I did not pull the rest, is that I was thinking that I might have been a little early with only about 20 percent cloudy trichs after pulling. Given that, I left the other 2/3 of the partially trimmed Sat plant in the sun and gave a few rounds of water this past week. The drying has been stressful where I have a corner of my garage tarped off and dark, but the temperature has been swinging from 68 degrees to about 80 with a RH swinging from 45 to 60. Just pulled down from hanging for five days and had to inspect each and every bud for worms and or bud rot. This factor alone is freaking me out. Almost so much that I almost don't even want to smoke my own, given that I keep reading about smoking bud that has mold and how terrible it is for the lungs. I jarred last night and am hoping this will bring out the best in the bud. This too has me stressed cause the hygrometer is reading temps from 68-76 with a RH from 50-60. Between drying and curing I think it will be impossible for me to keep a consistant temperature/RH that does not swing. This factor alone casts doubts in my mind whether or not my buds will be any good. Quite honestly, I am second guessing everything now and am a bit overwhelmed by the scope of it all. The growing part was easy and somewhat fun. Now, it is turning into a big time sucker that I did not anticipate. I'd hate to spend all of this time trimming, drying, curing and have the end product turn out to be bunk home grown..

Anyone else ever been in this boat? Any words of wisdom to get me back on track and in a better frame of mind to finish the task successfully?

As an ex president once said " I feel your pain ". I've had so much stress this last month that its a wonder my wife hasn't left me and that my dogs still love me!

All you can do is, do your best to do your best. Keep fans running in your drying area. That is by far the best preventative for controlling mildew and rot in the drying process. I have an 8 x 8 area which is normally my flower room, but will be my drying room in a couple of days, and I have 4 fans that I will be running to keep the air moving. I will also be running all my exhaust fans to keep fresh air coming in and exhausting the moist air from the plants.
It is supposed to start raining monday evening here in NorCal and even though my 12 Power Plants can probably use another week or so, I am cutting all the larger colas and buds, and leaving the smaller stuff. I am definitely not looking forward to the trimming, if I could afford to I would hire some trimmers, maybe next year.

Between fighting the Powder Mildew, Spider Mites, bud worms, etc. etc. all season, and worrying constantly about every helicopter and airplane that flys over, I think I have earned a NERVOUS BREAKDOWN!!!!!
