Riddle me this riddlers = )

So I germinated 4 seeds. Put 2 of them into the ground, but before I put them in the ground, I dug a hole and filled it with FF ocean Forests, worm castings, and perlite mix. Well I put the germinated seed in the soil, and left it.

Well about 24 hours later (today) I went to see if they had broke the soil. Well they hadnt, and I noticed some ants on the top of the soil. After further inspection there were quite a lot of ants. I went to the other spot where I planted a seed, and same thing there, Ants on top of the soil.

Well one of the spots looked as if tho the ants had dug the seed and root out, and ate it. So I checked, and the seed was totally gone. The root was about an inch long 24 horus ago, and now there is no remains in either of the spots.

My question is: Do ants like to eat marijuana seeds/sprouts? and would they? ever happened to you? What can I do to stop them?

thats crazy shit... can you blame them? they prob just wanted to get high too! lol,

start them indoors and grow them till they are 6"+ that way they cant carry seeds away!

There would have to be an ant problem in your house I would assume...I never had a problem with ants in my plants but I know during the summer I get ants all the time...Little small things but hell I learned how to handle them fuckers

there are spieces of ant that use plants or trees as a host to live in, in return for a safe home and usually free honey dew produced by the tree/plants, the ants clear the host tree's surrounding area of other plants so as to do away with competition for space and light.

move them - if they can't carry the seed away they will cut up the plant, or inject the stem and leaf veins with formic acid, killing the plant.

Ants are some mean little mo fo's,i was in Alabama a while back & it was hot as fuk as usual,being a northerner i had no clue about red ants, so like any good greenhorn i had on beach shoes,so im just standing there looking like an asshole when they got me,god dammit what the fuk was that shit !,i lookled down & had a few dozen of them suckers on my feet,i got em off quickly.

So now im thinking "allright you lil bastards" im gonna do some bad shit to your ass'es for that but what can i do,so i hatch a plan to overdose them on skunk bud ,so i whip out the sack & start laying down small bud chunks for them to eat,they attacked that shit quick & ran off with it,i started putting down more & more but they just kept running off with it.

I sat there like an idiot for about an hour feeding those hungry lil fukers my weed till i used up an entire eight,that shit didnt phase them one bit,they wanted more.

Move the grow.

hahahha funniiest shit ever lol. Well I cant really move it though, its only spot I found, and until the ants it was perfect. Has really good direct sunlight all day, has shrubs that look similar to cannabis to camo it, plus its in a spot where no1 goes. The two plants were like 20 yards away from each other though, so I guess the whole place has ants.

But would the ants really just take off with my seed? It had a 1inch long root on it as well. I know they are strong... but damn.

Where would they take it to? going to go check local ant piles for a sprout

GOOD NEWS!!!! I had my mate whos doing a kahuna with me, check the spot. And he saw a sprout! Thats so lucky becuase when I was looking for the sprout, when I thought the ants took it, I like scrambled it all around, luckily it didnt end up on the bottom of the hole.

Still one more tho, that I thought the ants got, well see if she can get out = )
