That's it man why would any of these guys want to have plans that would help poor people there not poor why would they come up with a plan that takes more money out there pockets. Our Government is too Rich and they will not change they have all the money and all the power. Some people is too scared to stand up and fight the only way there is going to be a change is if there is a fight or some movement big enough to change this.

Hell, i started with an initial 5k investment a few years ago and have grown that through business endeavors and the financial markets to the top 1/3 of the 25% bracket.
Get your head out of your ass people, capitalism is the greatest thing alive. There should not be some 'redistribution of wealth' YOU have to make it yourself.

The 9% tax would be on top of your current state sales tax, You would still have social security and medical deductions- also the poor are exempt from current income taxes, so his plan would take have the poor loosing more than 27% of there earnings right off the top

At one point in my life i was living paycheck to paycheck and i didn't go to college. Its called living below your means and saving. The only thing i don't/didn't have is a kid. I know better than to have a kid when i don't have the money to pay for it. Yea, I'm dumb one..

Your math is off, people in the current 25% bracket would pay the 9% income PLUS the 9% sales tax for a total of 18%, that's a 7% reduction. And as you folks like to point out, plenty of those people pay far less than that after all their deductions, they would most assuredly end up paying more. I haven't read the plan, but I've listened to Herman Cain for years and he ALWAYS advocates a cost of living deduction for every tax payer... usually around $20,000, so the poor wouldn't end up paying much at all.

Don't deny it unless you can prove there is no cost of living deduction. I just don't believe he would reverse himself on that stance, until I see it.

Why should i have to pay 9% and you pay nothing? Cause i worked harder? If you are an American citizen you have to pay taxes. Hell if your a citizen of ANY country you have to pay taxes.

How about they cut the shit out of the budget?
They should fix things so super rich companies and people are not tax exsempt or getting a huge subisidy.
Between huge spending cuts and some fixing of the tax system they could eliminate the deficit and pay down the debt

A single person that makes 35000 is taxed at about 15%. That is before ANY exemptions or deductions are taken. Not even a personal exemption. Yeh. They still deserve a break.
A single person that makes 85000 is taxed at about 20% before anything is deducted or exempted. They deserve a break too

So it's a stepping stone to the Fair tax, fucking awesome. I knew that's where he really stood, the fair tax allows allows a cost of living deduction, right out of the gate of about $20k. Family of four with two working parents making $24k each end up paying almost nothing. It also ends the embedded taxes you pay on EVERYTHING. Didn't see anything in the article you linked to about social security or medicare.

You should actually go to the library and read "The Fair Tax" instead of listening to the MSM and the Dems, they are FLAT OUT LYING about what is in it.
