go to b and q and get westlands or miracle grow, two big bags for a tenner, bags of perlite about a fiver, if uve got sum spare cash get a bag of vermiculite. mix it 70% soil 25% perlite and 5% vermic. dont use the the miracle grow with seedlings or babies,its got built in nute so it'll burn them. for babies or seedlings use a basic potting soil with 30% perlite. DONT BUY B AND Q own brand potting soil, its a fucking magnet for pests.if u really want to spend cash go to Growells hydro on the net and buy sumthing fancy from them like Plagron Bat mix, personally i wouldnt be arsed with the extra expense.ive always used miracle gro but many dont like it.
Thank you for that, just to confirm its miracle grow moisture controll? it says it has 6months supply of nutes, would they still need dosing with extra nutes?

cant get your link to work, ive never used the moisture control stuff but i imagine its got vermiculite thru it to do the same job. id personally go for it but as i said no for seedling /first 3 or 4 weeks of life. if u do buy MG then u wont need to give nutes for at least the first 6 weeks of the plants life and after that at a reduced, say 1/4 rate. its easy enuff but you do have to be a bit more careful.

the best composts are home-made cause that way they are free. i use coffee grounds used tea (removed from the bag) egg shells banna peels grass clippings fan leaves from my previos grows..ect ect you can also throw the soil from your old grows into your compost heap. start a compost pile its economicaly efficient who whould spend hard earned cash on somthing you could make your self. i dunno about you but ive got more time then money. the drawback of making your own compost is that itll take 18 to 24 months before the compost breaks down into a useable state for your plants. you should never apply compost directly to a plant of brew a tea with it if it has a foul or sour smell. also compost should never exceed 20% of your soil mixture. if it does your leafs will show yellowing or necrosis. basicly an organic nutrient burn. most premixed soils have compost in them already its important to read the labels on the bag of soil. perlite will aid your soil substraight in preventing water run-off in other words it will hold more moisture in your soil i dont use it... but it can be a useful tool in the garden if you do use it do about 2 cups per gallon of soil. i.e if youve got a 3 gal. pot use 6 cups perlite...with perlite in your soil your plants will need less frequent watering. hope i was helpful one lov son. peace.

bah mG if ment to grow roses and tulips and daises and shit... MG produces poor tasting buds it also has a high rate of nutrient burn and nutreient lock. ORGANICS IS GOD. no buds on earth burn taste and stone like organics. if u go with MG you may as well just go drink anti-freeze ..MG's nutrients are made with farmaldihyde high EDT salts and all kinds of other shit you dont wana be smoking. buy a good organic soil. research "the rev" and TLO (true living organics) and buy a fucking copy of skunk mag.. if you dont do that jus drink the anti-freeze and huff some raid.

christ swagger you on the hippy trail mate. ok ash, you can follow swagger routine and start growing sumtime round summer 2014 with shit that'll probably reek your house out, burn your plants and give u a bug infestation that'll have your mates calling you lord of the flies, although you will have saved about £40. alternativelly bugger off down to b and q and grab sumthin out of there. STAY AWAY from b n q cutting /potting compost, i used it a cpl of times but the last 2 separate occasion it had bugs in it. get john innes for seedlings , just read the pack, make sure it has no added nutes, chuck in sum perlite and bobs yer uncle. on the other hand u could go hug trees with swagger, ive done all the organic shit too, yeah the smokes good but ive produced as good with bigger yeilds using mg, as for the formaldehyde and stuff thats in them , who gives a fuck? its in my fuckin cigarettes anyway and the amount of drink and drugs ive take the odds of an extended life are a bit remote to say the least.

ive used biobizz nutrients for years and i'd heartily recommend them,as for the soil i dont know but i'd go for it as the rest of there stuff is good. nice and simple and doesnt cost the earth. all u need is the grow and bloom, maybe add a booster if u can afford it, apart from that you'll need nuthin else to grow good bud. its idiot proof, i'm living proof of that mate.
