I am over 60 and probably closer to the grave than most of you. After I die, I will be forgotten. Within a couple of generations I will be no more than a photgraph in someone's collection of family photos and there will be no one who remembers me as a living person. A thousand years from now no one will even know I ever existed. Gravestones, monuments even great pyramids can only slow but not stop this process. All lives are erased by those that come aftewards. Life is a transient experience to be lived now. There is no later.
I never saw the point in buying real estate and a fancy box to hold a piece of rotting meat that no one will ever have a use for. As far as I am concerned, they can throw my body to the hogs.
“Life's but a walking shadow, a poor player, that struts and frets his hour upon the stage and then is heard no more; it is a tale told by an idiot, full of sound and fury, signifying nothing.”/ McBeth
