the cops are a part of the government, actually. the only cops that get their checks from a private entity are mall cops.
OK... Ummm .... Im gonna admit that I may be talking from a position of ignorance but I want to explore this a lil more. btw, Im not a U.S citizen so just interested.

Surely the cops are sworn to uphold the constiution of the U.S, which is decreed upon by the judiciary i.e Supreme court..... And surely the U.S judiciary is independent from Goverment? Is the definition of government (state or federal) that you recieve a check from them?

It's a possibility for me I am considering...I also enjoy playing online poker but our govt doesn't like that either, and has closed down 4 or 5 of my accounts now...One time they held like 300 bucks of mine for a year (neteller fiasco)
maybe this is why they froze the money?

the cops are sworn to "serve and protect". and they all get their paychecks from the government, be it state, local, federal, or whatever.

i had funds seized-

by the state. i was informed, in MI, banks are voluntarily working with the state government to help them "recover". funds left in bank accounts held at these banks, will have their funds diverted after 60 days of inactivity.
