cfl mounting

im growing with cfl bulbs ive got them vertical at moment is it better to have them mounted on there sides will that help my plants grow any better or keep them ive got them now ..........thanks

more light comes out of the sides than the top. reflectors help too.

thanks for quick reply and at the moment ive made reflector out of a stella beer can till i buy one lol

stick with the can they work just as well and cheaper lol and put your cfls realy close to the plants about 2 to 3 inches away with a nice wind blowing through the leaves and over the top of them
