The reasoning?

Hi,

I have been thinking about this for quite some weeks now and for the life of me cannot understand why on earth this beautiful plant is illegal!? There is no point in me putting up all the statistics that we all know, weed is absolutely harmless and I can closely relate it to alcohol in terms of the effects on the brain. Yes they are different but both affect the thinking .etc. Infact, alcohol is more dangerous, deaths from it are much higher, abuse, violence. So, what exactly do the politicans of the world say as to why the drug is illegal in pretty much all countries in the world yet alcohol is perfectly fine.

What's worse is the people, why do we accept the brainwashing of society in their reasoning, especially living in a democratic country such as the U.K or U.S, the politicians have to represent us in some way or another. They have to translate public opinion into policy. I suppose there are a lot of nuts who actually agree?

imo, it's all about the mighty dollar, or pound if you will.. i'm sure big companies like those involved in the pharma biz, donate millions of dollars to the proper people to keep the plant illegal..
can you imagine the lost revenue that they would be looking at when people stopped taking an asprin or aleve for every lil ache and pain and started to smoke bud instead?
not to mention the lost revenue when dr's started recommending marijuana medically instead of the latest and greatest cure all in it's place... it may even cut down on all of the law suits that you see every other commercial on tv about suing big pharma cuz the cure all you just took last year had more negative side affects then you could ever imagine...
that's another thing.. think of all the lost revenue for lawyers and courts and all if big pharma were no longer pushing their pills like candy.. the money runs deep i tell you.. it's sickening imo..

Times are changing. Marijuana use is widely accepted now in the U.S. Slowly but surely our law makers will see it.

You know why it is illegal. We all know why it is illegal. Combine greed, corruption, ignorance, influence, racism, stupidity, weeping mothers and politics and you get what we have.
