I use a cheap inline pump and suck it out. Same principle as the vacuum. My trays (4x8) sit directly on floor.

How do you get the rest of the water the pump can't remove out? Or is does your pump suck from the bottom? I have the ecoplus pumps that always leave more than a 1/4 inch of water in the container they are pumping water from.

What up dead thread, thought I'd pop in to tell you fellow Jardiners I just ordered the Secret Jardin Dark Dryer tent, to use my Growbox Dry Net inside of. I'm debating whether to use a 4" or 6" duct fan for exhausting during drying.

I'm also going to order a Secret Jardin Dark Room Pro DR120 II (4'x 4'x 6.5') to set up only during harvesting to use my Trimpro inside of, to keep sticky sugar leaves from flying all over my living room. I bought a regular camping tent, but it's 10'x8'x8' and it takes up waaay too much floorspace. I just need a square, light tight, collapsable, 7' tall enclosed space, and I think this may be the best solution, if I move I can use it as a grow tent later.

I almost bought one of the Dark Dryer last month (got (2) Secret Jardin DP90 instead). I'll be interested in what you think about Dark Dryer, I may still want one.

I dried some in my flower tent, had 2 small fans circulating the air and 200cfm inline exchanging the air 15mins of every hour. It was pretty dry in 3 days.
I guess I'm trying to say, you may be able to get away with a small exhaust fan.............

Cheers,

That was the reason I got 2 DP90's instead of the Dark Dryer, but have since been thinking how handy it might be.
I'm using 1 DP90 for seedlings and cuttings and the other for veggies. I am also using 1 DR120II for my MEDS and the other DR120II for more veggies.

On my first and only med grow, I had a plant finish @ 50 days, 1 @ 65 days, and 3 more @ 70 days. It would have been nice to have had a Dark Dryer for those plants that finished early.

I'm still kinda' interested.

Cheers,

I am switching to perpetual after this next cycle, so having the ability to erect a non permanent drying space that takes up only 4'x4' for the few days I'm drying each month is ideal for me.

I have no need or intention of ever using the Dark Dryer as a grow tent, it's far to small for my purposes, but it is the exact size of my growbox vertical dry net. I thought about getting the same size grow tent, but I save over $100 by not doing that, and SJ was nice enough to make a low cost dry tent that perfectly suits my needs.

It's only $115 bucks and I will let you know how it goes for me after it arrives and I use it.

measure them and determine the width and length of your tent do some math and there you go. really depends on how wide the pots are and how crowded you want them.

anyone have any pointers on how many 3 gallon pots i can jam in a dr150,ideally would like the plants to grow 3 months max, strains ak47 and whitewidow.....give or take a week or two for maturity if necessary but from what im reading, theyre both quick flowers....

thanks all....dank pics!

like assholes everyone has an opinion. never had a problem ours and its going on three years and a lot of grows. this includes a lot take downs and then putting the tent back up after each grow and we've never a light leak or zipper problem.

im not trying to start an argument or derail this thread or anything, but from everything that ive heard, and also what people are saying in this thread - secret jardins suck balls.

homebox growlab is the bomb... check it out
http://www.homebox-growlab.net/
....no light leaks, no busted crappy zippers, theyre tough, way better than secret jardin.

I thought id bought a secert Jardin tent but when i opened the box it was Green room GR240 x 240x 200 . They have metal clamps in stead of the plastic ones the DRs have which have broken on my many times before , ive had over 3 Dr's and i do like em but they do have there faults but so do overs my GRs ripped just as easy as my DR did and none of my zips have broke in the DRs but the Homebox my partner has has broken off. The Drs doors open better than the Grs which are a lot higher up so you have to step in an can cause trips(Ive got 2 left feet:))..

Have the dr150 set up in veg/mom mode. Using a 400 MH for it at the moment, and am getting a little bit warm inside. Upto the 80-82 range. Have some 4' HO T8's just hanging around the house, and would not be worried to have to get a couple more for a set up.. Want the temps in the 74-78 range . Am thinking that the 4'HO T8's(let's go with min 6 max 8) would work just as well for lighting as the 400, but with less heat...Any thoughts. Am thinking this would work ok.

BRING's THREAD BACK FROM THE DEAD!!!

Ok I am thinking of buying the darkroom pro II 240W but can't find it for sale in any shop in Australia. Does anyone know where to get it here?

Secondly will the 240w be strong enough to support the weight of the following.

2x 600w HPS with Adjust a wing reflectors
2x Oscilating wall mounted fans
1x Carbon filter 200mm x 800mm

Cheers guise and can't wait to set up my DR240w

Well my DR120 is supporting my phat filter, 6" 400 CFM fan and 1000W setup with no issues. I will say tho im kinda dissapointed as i see alot of light leaking out through the zippers and what not. Wondering how much leaks into the tent when the light isnt on.

Really I heard they were good for light? and too test it. At night time or day time go inside tent and zip it up, turn some lights on from outside and look for light spots yourself.
