Maybe you can saw off about 3 inches on all 8 poles that go in each corner, that way you reduce it by 6 inches. Just be careful and do it on the ends that go in the corner sockets, not where the poles connect in the middle

Hmmmm that's a good idea, I MIGHT do that...plus rep.

I was wondering though, if I was to get the DR90 ll, will a 1000 watt benefit over a 600 watt in such a small tent?

yea your plants would benefit from the 1k vs the 600 more lumen = more growth. the problem is are you going to be able to keep your temps down in that small of a tent and the 1k is going to be sucking a lot more electricity.

Alright looks like I'm getting the 600 watt. One question, does the tent come with a pulley system to raise and lower the light? If not, where would I find a nice cheap one? Thanks in advance.

hey his tread is great i've been looking for something like this. i have a dr-120 and a dr-80 and i am looking for a way where thay can be connected for air flow, exhaust. i was thinking about putting 1.(6) inch in-line boost fan pulling air from my basement into thr dr-80 which i will be doing veg w/ 1. (4) blub T-5 and a (6) inch oscillating fan. next step there will be another (6) inch in-line boost fan pulling air from the veg tent unto the dr-120 where i will be doing flowering using 2. sun systems 150 watt hps lighting systems, 1. (6) inch can fan max (334 cfm), and 1. can carbon filter. TELL ME WHAT YOU THINK AND IF IT WOULD WORK PLEASE LET ME KNOW.

I am wondering if anyone here has a Secret Jardin Twin? I am really considering buying one of these. I am just worried that it will not be big enough. I would like to run a 12 plant hydro setup. Any input on what size darkrrom and lighting would be great.

Thanks So Much!

I figure this can be a good thread to post my first post. Great site btw.

I'm looking at the DR90II. Repeating what already has been posted before the rough dimensions are 3'x3'x6'. I'm thinking about going the 600W route but can't help but wonder if that would be too much. 400W seems ideal but having a 600W helps facilitate a possible future upgrade.

Thoughts?

Welcome Nash11,

I'm a bit new to all this but, this is what the web page where I got my lights from said.
400 watt = 2'x2' to 3'x3'
600 watt = 3'x3' to 4'x4'
1000watt = 4'x4' to 5'x5'

Cheers and Happy Growing,

Hello peeps, great thread.
I've got a dr60 II & I'm a week into my first grow. Love the jardin but thing is I haven't set up my ventilation & odour control yet (and this is important as I live in an apt)
I'd like to ask you lot if a 100mm TD silent fan with a C.Filter would be enough for extraction & smell? As mentioned earlier in the thread there's not much room in these tents, so I was gonna have the fan & filter on top of the tent and obv connected to the tent with accoustic ducting fed into the vent hole on the top of the tent. Would this work ok?
And sorry to be a noob but what fans would you recommend for inlet?
I'm running an LED in there and I've just got an oscilating fan outside the tent, which is blowing through the open panel at the bottom.
the temps stay around 77-80 as it is now but I want to put a little clip on fan inside the tent so I can close the panels and have it lightproof (or at least almost lightproof)
Many thanks & muchos +rep for help with my noobness

I am using a Secret Jardin DR II 240 (8'x8'x6.7') for flowering.
I have (3) 3.5'x3.5' flood tables sitting 5" above the floor on wooden blocks.
I have 3 27 gal tote/rubbermaid rezs stacked on moulded plastic stackable shelving from Home Depot.
I have a Shop Vac with built in water pump, specifically made for emptying flooded basements, etc. I use it to empty the trays, I have 1/2" black plastic hosing attached going through a (dry)wall and draining into a manifold I fashioned under the sink.

This works pretty well for me currently, but I don't like running to waste, so I am going to fashion a "ebb & grow" style control bucket for use with my 3 flood tables, to be used similar to the way the "ebb & grow" buckets are utilized.

I strongly recommend having a Shop Vac w/ a built in pump, it's unbelievably convenient to be able to remove any liquid to a drain easily. Never carrying buckets of anything anywhere.
