Strain choice help (Tangerine Dream)

Hello all Jimmy here

I am thinking of starting my next grow soon. It will be an indoor grow of 18 females used a flood and drain system between two trays of 9 plants under either a 250w or 400w HPS per tray. I will be using the SCROG method of growing and plan to either do 12/12 from seed or veg for 2-3 weeks then 12/12. The only problem I have is the strain I am planning to use is Barneys Farm's Tangerine Dream. A lot of people have said it's a great strain, great smoke and great grow but then a lot of other people have said that it's a unstable plant that has germination problems but none the less is still a great smoke. I want to know is it worth buying 18 (20 actually, come in packs of 10) feminized Tangerine dreams and going with my instinct assuming I can grow that or should I assume that it is an unstable piece of hard work and should go for something easy?

Your thoughts, cheers.

Oh well too late, I just placed an order for 20 Tangerine Dream feminized. Also came with 5 free feminized seeds that are probably crap but oh well now I just play the waiting game.

I know what you mean about Tangerine Dream reviews; the jury is most decidedly out! lol!
So I figured "oh well..." as well, bought one the other day, and just tucked one up into some damp rock-wool. Green fingers crossed!
I'm personally only really concerned about the potential size; if mine leans to sativa more there's going to be some serious LST going on..
And those 25% THC claims...?

Yeah they are generally a tall plant to begin with but the sativa phenos really brach out a lot more then the normal phenos. And for the 25% THC claims well i guess we will see :)

It is a really light feeder especially with nitrogen. Watch for the Claw. My phenyo was in flower for over ten weeks stretching more than anything I have seen. After the eleventh week it starts to bud like crazy. I have to say this plant triples after the switch and I go vertical. I would suggest going organic or just using a part b nutrient, and start a scorg that is huge cause it will fill it in......

The smell and terpines are the most unique and best I have ever seen... orange and spicy.

Well from what I have seen it is fairly skinny but tall except for the sativa pehno which is massively tall and wide and big buds. I have given them 1 foot by 1 foot width and length and for height I will have to see how tall it gets.

very lanky and stretchy. takes forever to finish. the 7.5 weeks they claim is a joke. i had no problems with germination. when it finally finishes, it has a definite sativa effect. i'm growing out some clones i took from my first round of seedlings. it will be the last time i do this strain inside. it takes too long for the space i have. good luck.
