Aeroponic grow - issues with plants

This is my first grow and I have had a few issues with it. My plants initially grew to week 4 with no problem. Come week 5 and now I have yellow spots, my leaves are deteriorating, and there is black mildew on one of the bottom leaves, not to mention that the bottom stems are turning yellow. I recently changed my res with 5 gallons of distilled water, changed nutes to 2/3 strength (jungle juice grow, bloom, and micro, added Hygrozeme, cal/mag, and root booster. I also added about 5ml of 3% hydrogen peroxide to help the roots out. I am also using an air stone to help with oxygenation. My plants are still in veg state with 4x T5 florescent bulbs and a fan to help with air circulation. the temp of my house is usually at around 70 degrees or so. I will monitor my leaves to see if the one with the mildew will recover.

.....looks like a diy aero tub?? Just a quick comment is all I have for you: Way too tight in there for good air flow--if in veg thin it out and get more air in there. What are those ugly rocks? That dont look right but may be something I am not up on(like lots!). Looks like water burn or heat on that top leaf??
Hey, good luck to you! If your in veg you may just need to spread those out more...as far as the mugly looking stuff goes.

....those aren't bugs in that pic with your fingers----tiny white dots.......????

Were those brought in clones??

They are not bugs, i believe my plants were undergoing nute burn. My plant is to remove 2 plants to put them in my flowering station and keep the other 4 in veg. I am using lava rocks for the medium (couldn't find clay pellets locally). There is a fan located on top of the veg station and the place is not enclosed so air flow is not an issue.

Bump.........hmmmmmmmmm, nobody else?? Wishing I had more ideas for you.... How are you checking your ph and ppm's? But I dont think that could be it.....that upper growth looked pretty nice and healthy from the pics......any weird odors in the res or in the rocks at all?? If there's no air-flow issue as you say, I cant really see many reasons why else you'd have that lower stuff looking like it does........so fungus?---how do the roots look/smell??

Hey, admittedly, I am shooting in the dark! Just hoping to maybe spaark something that gives you the answer maybe, or spot something that's obvious. Your first grow?? Hey, I've done hundreds and dont know the answer for you.....but I haven't ran into s similar situation... Somebody has the answer or right idea. Something still tells me its in the rocks, roots or combination. What's the temps of res and do the roots actually sit in it? You dont want your res much over 65 and that's warm.......but I 've ran it at 70 and no actual probs.

Well, I am probably just making this worse for you with confusion and I dont even have the answer. For that I apologise.
I 'll go back in my hole.........

The rocks that I am using is lava rocks. The pH of my rez is always around 5.7-5.9. My roots are health as a check on them quite a bit. The roots do not smell and I normally change my res every 2 weeks. The leaves that are turning brown are getting crispy as well. I have done a crap ton of research on this and I came up with nothing. Most leaves are affected, some more than others, but the new growth up top looks great. I will cut off the bad leaves and see what happens.

How they doing now, Joebawca?

.........hopefully all is good!!

Not good at all. Tried to flower 2 plants and both turned out to be male. I transferred the 2 from hydro to coco soil and they are doing better flowering than in the hydro. Hopefully the third time will be the charm.

problably need some cal mag and make sure to keep everything really clean(system,no nutrient spills and lots of clean air flow)

Yes, well good luck! Hopefully you'll get some cuttings off of one of the remaining. If/when you run the aero again, make sure you post up about it and start from scratch....fresh res solution, hydroton, etc. Just use the base nutes for whichever you go with, no 'special' additives or boosters to start. Dont just ad cal-mg because it looks like it needs some, until you know. I'd be willing to bet those in the pics didn't need it....not saying you gave it any. On plants that small, if your res messes up for any reason, just redo the res.....you can flush or whatever and redo.....try that in dirt(ooops, soil). Main thing: if your nutes aren't buffered, get it dialed in at 5.8.....
How often do your misters go off? For how long? And the temp of your res is..? My aero is a GH AF and I run the pump 24/7. My diy tubs are what I veg in and I run those pumps 1 on 4 off. That is more than enough. Do any of your roots touch the lowest level the solution gets?---if they do you do not want to adjust the pH while any roots have contact with the solution either.....start off on the low side with the nutes as well: 750ppm or so.....

These are just ideas I guess, or what I look for and what I have found to work for me. I 've been lucky I guess: went hydro over soil over 4 years ago now and have never looked back, or considered going back either. Dont give up!
Let us know how it goes!

the look normal except for a few spots that are sensitive. i would fush i with 200oom/pH's water for a week and call it good. the green inthe middle shows some new growth so you cant be too far off the point.

But i am pretty baked, so who knows. and i am hungry. waiting to see the Lions this week, 3 mintues 4:02 atm.
