there was no gun to my head. no one forced me to sign a W2. no one CAN force you to sign a W2. you have to sign it of your own volition.
like, duh.
Like duh? You still have teenagers at home, don't you Uncle Buckie?

I was wondering, have you ever tried to opt out of Social Security and/or payroll taxes through your employer? I mean, if as you believe, social security is voluntary at the employer/employee level, where you can opt in, doesn't it make sense that one can opt out as well?

Go to your employer tomorrow and tell him/her that you want to opt out of payroll tax deductions and social security deductions because its voluntary. Please report back on Tuesday.

i was simply ridiculing your attempt at calling it 'slavery'.

why would i want to opt out? i am an ardent supporter of social security.

i am my own employer. i asked me and me said it was fine.

once the government legitimizes my enterprise and stops calling me a criminal for conducting mutually beneficial transactions between consenting adults, i will be happy to pay them accordingly.

like i have often said, this wonderful nation that i was born into has benefitted me greatly. the least i can do is pay her back for all the wonderful things she provides me.

If you want to collect a pay check you MUST fill out a W4 and have a W2 issued each year. Your employer has no other legal choice. Neither do you if you want to remain under the protection of the law.

You can choose to not fill one out, but you won't have a job or be able to collect pay. Your choice though, just like its your choice to not put contact poison on your product you sell to little kids.

^^^ Ahh, so taxes are fine for me but not for thee?
i worked one of those government approved jobs at the beginning of the year, i have paid taxes this year.

last year, i voted for a measure that would have mandated that i pay $1000 to the state just for the honor of 'producing', as well as a 10% straight tax on anything i produce, in addition to all the other taxes that come with it.

sadly, a wave of tea bagging excitement crippled what should have been a slam dunk ballot proposition. thanks, baggers.

i have ZERO problem paying taxes. i do have a problem with being called a criminal for growing some plants and conducting transactions between consenting adults that hurt no one.

But Reagan Increased taxes!
And deficit spent like no other President before him!
And got us Involved with The Middle east Wars!
And we bombed Libya!
And grew government by over 100,000 employees.

Reagan was a hollywood actor, not a conservative.

This montage was made from the video of the Politico debate at the Reagan Library. No shit they are going to talk about him and discuss the tax situation in the country.

I'd like to see a montage of all of Obama's broken promises, except the video would be ten minutes long!

Rick's problem with debates is that he can't screen the questions and rehearse the answers. Hes just not bright enough to shoot from the hip. Witch is pretty sad for a Texan.
