I have 5 brand new bags of miracle grow vegetable soil. And heres my question.. If I get all of the nute release balls out and flush the soil a few times, could miracle grow be harmless to my plants? I really don't want to waste soil, or weed so any thoughts help. Thanks. :leaf::leaf:

Get yourself some Miracle Grow Seed Starter soil and start your seeds off in that. Then transplant them into the Miracle Grow soil you have no with out removing anything from it. Only give it water when it needs it and you'll be fine. It wont kill your plant, it won't make your bud taste terrible, it won't make it harsh, it won't poison you, it won't get your sister pregnant and then walk out on her. Miracle Grow can grow any other plant, so why can't it grow weed? You'll grow something that your willing to eat and use as a source of energy and nutrition, but you wont use it to grow your medicine?

I've had a successful grow with miracle grow before, but when i tried to start more seeds in it, they die within days.

Cut it. Surely there is a local retailer nearby that sells some sort of weak seed starter type soil mix. Grab some of that to mix equal parts with the MG stuff, and then grab a bag perlite to mix in as well. My current mix is approximately 4 parts MG african violet mix, 4 parts Jiffy seed starter mix, and 2 parts perlite.

Ideal? No... but it's working just fine and the only burning my plants have suffered has come from being too close to the HPS.

Yo I never tried the MG seed starter and then used one
of their dirts maybe this will work may it won't. I love it
for my house plants I don't mind it's full of gnats! But to
waste 2,3 or 4 months depending on how long they live.
Do you wanna waste time and electric for this experiment?

These have been in soil MG soil(potting mix) for about 2 weeks, and I don't flush, or pick out any of those fert balls. All I do, is add another 5% perlite, or so. Works great for me, and many others.....

MG soil isnt the problem .. it works great from the grows ive seen .. the trick is not to over water because it releases too much of the nutes contained in the soil ... plants look great jawbrodt ...

happy growin

Flushing don't work on MG or FFOF their still be too hot!
And you'll just mess up the dirt.
Jawbro yours look good but they do have some type of
drooping going on~

If you're worried, go to a local nursery and get a small bag of their "house mix" potting soil for the seedlings. It shouldn't have any nutes in it, then transplant into the MG when they get a bit of size to them (like the 3rd node or so).

They needed watered, and a dash of fert. No worries, they're nice and perky again.

They're even thinking of getting into the niche Cannabis market!!! If they do, then maybe people will quit hating on them if there is a cannabis leaf on the package.

Miracle Grow specifically for cannabis?

I wonder what kind of super-duper imaginary new growing innovations the niche companies will have to invent in order to prop their sales back up...

Why not just exchange it for the right medium?. Also, you have to flush w/MG soil or your final product will taste like soil...no matter how long you cure it.

All you have to do to sell nutes to newbie growers is create a very cool looking logo, invent some scientific studies and MARKET it on the MJ sites. If you can't dazzle them with facts, baffle them with bullshit. I can't for the life of me figure out why nobody asks themselves "If this stuff is so great, why don't the mainstream nurseries carry it?"

I would strongly disagree with flushing with Miracle Grow soil. Miracle Grow soil has water soluble nutrients in it. That's why you don't have to add nutes while using it. When you flush with Miracle Grow all you do is give your plant a heavy dose of nutes. How is giving your plant more nutes supposed to help with the "miracle flush" at the end that makes everything taste like super amazing kush?

Well, actually, they were closer to 3 weeks, in those pics. I germed them, then stuck them in party cups, got sick, and let them sit in complete darkness for 3 days. They were stretched like crazy, by then(searching for light), so I transplanted them to those 1 gallon pots, burying the extra stem. It was about 2 weeks, from that day, that I took those pics. I use 19/5(pretty much the same as 18/6), and keep my lights super close, within 1/2", if I can.
