This is how I do it.

First I start off with a quality clone/seedling.

I then use a double veg set up, running a 400 watt for the smaller incoming starters and a 600watt for them as they grow. (this is actually a 4x4x6's tent turned on it's side doubling the grow space, you can see the extra polls put in to support the weight of the lights and ducting)

This is my late veg set up with a 600 watt reflector as they start to stretch.
I made this tent out of the bottoms of my other tents. Wrapping the walls and making a clip on door.

This is my preflower, under another 600 watt reflector. All plants going into this tent are ready for transplanting into lager flower pots.

Running the cycles I run I found myself in need of more flower space so this is the first of two flower tents. 4x4 and the other is a 4x8. All running 1000 watt hoods.

And then there is the large flower with two different cycles 2 weeks apart.

This sets up for a harvest every 2 to 3 weeks ensuring a supply of fresh meds are always available.

Getting ready to set up the last of the tents, an additional 4x8 for added flower space.
Working to get on a 2 week harvest cycle.

Why so many tents?
I couldn't fit all of my girls into one..

awesome. alot of wattage total, but its obvious that makes alot of bud
Wattage really doesn't mean as much as many would lead you to believe.
I've exceeded 1000 watt numbers running 600's, and numbers below 600's with 1000's.

If you want to add weight during flower try using "liquid carbo load" on the days you don't nute.
It's the equivalent of feeding the plant pasta all the time, it puts on weight.
If your buds are a bit lite or airy try some Alaskin fish furtilizer towards the last week or two. (stop when you notice the flowers tightening up or they will turn brown)With both, just follow the directions on the bottle.

I also bottom feed which makes the plant dig deeper for food which makes the roots longer and stronger.
I LST most of my girls and that changes things a bit too. I can get 6 to 12 tops per plant when I do it right.
My tents look like a scrog when they are all in bloom.

What I meant to get at was why not just have the veg in a room and the flower in a room, and if you have only one room why not just pick veg or flower to tent?

Ok, that's easy to explain. 3 reasons.

1.)Environment is completely controllable.
With the way I set up my blower fans I create an unbeatable fresh airflow. I have vents around the bottom of the tents and when the fans on the the tents closed the incoming air goes right by the plants to get to the fan. It also helps when running CO2.
I can adjust each fan to meet an exact temp and humidity for the different stages too.
Same goes for veg. I need the light a lot closer to keep the nodes tight on seedlings and clones then I do for the plants 2 and 3 weeks into veg.
Bug issues are easier to deal with.

2.)Cycles/stages.
My plants are in a cycle so between weeks in flower and strain they stretch differently.
This allows me to get the best lighting available for each stage or strain.

3.)Electrical.
I have 2 30amp fuses at my disposal and that's it. The old school twist in cap fuses.
I can run two 1000's with blowers and iso fans no problem but if I try to run a 600 along with it I pop a fuse.
So my solution was to run 11 3/4 hour flower cycles. 9 am to 8:45pm and 9:00pm to 8:45am And can do it in the same room.
(this will also allow me to heat the entire place with my flower and 600 veg exhaust 25/7 )
On the other fuse I run all of the veg and fans without interruption.

What would #4 be ?

I think that was one of his more intelligent posts.

I've been thinking about giving it a shot, but all of the hydro I've tried tastes like all the other hydro I've tried.
Using the e-z cloner has me wondering about it more though.

i think you think about it too much, all the hydro i smoke tastes nearly as good as anything ive smoked:)

#4 i dont know lol you said 4 reasons and listed 3. :hump:

Great looking set up, it definitely lookis like you know what youre doing. Just wondering though, have you ever thought about saving on electric if you could? I have been vegging under 2 six bulb set of t8s, and have super thick vegetation. Way impressed. I have pics if youd like but for the savings youd be amazed the results. I ran (24/0) 12 t8 bulbs (actually 14) i clone under some too, plus 1000 watts 12/12 dehumidifier, A/C when needed, plus four fans and a 435cfm vortec all for 99$ Definitely as good of growth as ANY 600 ive ever seen. The fixtures are only 79$ and 10 6500k bulbs for 25$. Just sayin "fuck u Consumers Energy!!"

We've been tossing around the idea of T5's, one set up is cheaper then 2 replacement bulbs.
I've also had trouble finding anyone that grows with them that gets plants as thick as the ones I get now.
The nodes are spaced right but the plants seem to run thinner.
I need to be sold on things before I move with them..
Just like with the idea of toying with hydro, if a couple of people could sell me on them I'd probably change.

Check these out. been veggin for 6 weeks at the point of these pics

These are under T8s. way cheaper than t5s and ive seen lots of MH grows that arent as thick as these. Dollar per lume over a 5 year period they looked like the best option for me.

Great pic's man and thanks for sharing, no better way to get to know people then to talk grow.

Right now I think I'll stick to my 4's and 6's since the growth is proven and I definitely like the time line they offer.
We run a maybe 5 week veg and need our plants that big in 4 to stay on cycle..

Once again I appreciate your sharing.

This is what we are getting right now from 4's and 6's..
If I can get the same from T's I'll make the move, but can't find anyone getting this after 4 or 5 weeks in veg.
