I'm in the valley about 30 miles from the top of the world. Granted we're talking about the same top of the world lol.

Things were looking beautiful in the garden this morning. I snapped a few pics after the lights went out. The Vortex is getting a nice white coating of trichomes. I have a 600 hps about 8" above the tops, and the vortex seems to be handling all the light.

DAY 31

Damn! That Vortex looks tasty! I just followed your link over from Subcool's forum. I didn't answer your question over there...just because I haven't ran enough TGA gear to tell you which is the most stable...but Vortex sure treated me well! I found 6 great females in a 10 pack....3 of them being ultra-dank. The one you have pictured looks actually kind of in-between 2 of them....but closer to my favorite which I thought to be Apollo-13 dominant and had the putrid-mango funk to the max! I even had it tested and it has been the highest THC testing Vortex I could find. The structure of it was really similar to yours.
peace!

I'm liking the way this one is filling out. What %thc did your Vortex test at?

Looking great. I am debating on what strain to pick up from the local dispensary in Cali. I am curious about the Vortex. I have been eyeing on Agent orange or the Flav as I love Hybrids. Your grow could make me switch to the vortex and possible.

I've found that this plant does not like having the light very close. I was about 6" below the glass of my vented hood and had one of the tops start to develop a yellow border. I also see that this plant has more leaf edge curl up than I am used to seeing on my durbans. I'm not sure what to think of the leaf edge curling up, perhaps its normal for vortex to do that? Any comments on reading your plants in mid bloom by looking at the bud leaves?
Fan leaves are still loooking normal and happy. I have a pic of one of the lower fan leaves that had another leaf over the top of it and it has tan lines:)
so here are pics from day 34, vortex on dynagro 420ppm.

I think as long as the overall health of the plant is good, the plants are happy. You could nitpick each and every leaf but a bad leaf or leaf tip here and there certainly wont hurt your final harvest. Looking excellent btw!

I raised up the light a little, I hope that takes care of my yellow edges and up-turned bud leaves. Otherwise, all is well with the Vortex here at day 39

The vortex girls are looking close to being done, and it's only day 42. I'll try and get some pics, my camera fogged all up this am. I'm getting some brown hairs and that almost done look.

Very nice my friend! Vortex is one of my favorite strains! Your pheno looks very similar to mine. I also have some leaf curl issues for unknown reasons sometimes. I've flushed them thinking I overfed, I've raised the lights thinking they were too warm.........it seems to come and go at random times and doesn't seem to have any negative effect whatsoever. Great job!:weed:

I notice you run 375 ppm in veg. I assume that is a .7 scale? Also, how many ml of grow, protek and mag pro do you use per gallon in veg? Hope I am not asking this for a second time. I did see the bloom mix you use;)

That is on the .5 scale, I think that it works out to about 5 or 6 ml per gallon. I always dial in with my meter and add water or nutes till I get to my number.

Just read through the whole thread, and I must say you are growing some serious dank good sir!
I'm loving the low ppms. Question, are your dwc buckets connected to a main Res, or do you just work with each individual bucket?
Those Vortex are looking prime, very mature for day 42!

The buckets are connected to a 20 gallon res. 3 times per day they flood for 15 minutes and exchange nute solution. Res is located out of the room, and stays around 65 degrees. This is how I combine the DWC and ebb and flow. Next batch will be a rockwool cube ebb/dwc combo, I'm hoping for better growth early.
