3grams of dried leaves is actually a pretty decent amount...what's that like two handfull?
Don't make ISO oil, make ISO hash
Take a coffee grinder and throw the leaves in there with ISO..just enough ISO to cover up the top of the leaves. Grind it up, take a disposable coffee filter and strain the material out onto an oven-safe glass pie plate. Heat the liquid on low on the stove...VERY low...ISO has a VERY low flash point...watch the ISO steam/cook off until all that's left is dried stuff - scrape that dried stuff up with a razorblade because that's your hash. Then smoke it.

edit: for safety, stand BACK from the stove as you're cooking off the ISO...if it flashes it WILL burn off your eyebrows/mustache, etc. I've had it go up only one time...but the flame was like 5 feet in the air, but it goes out fast because alcohol burns fast. If it does flame up just let it go for the 5 seconds it takes for all the alcohol to burn up or cover it with the top of a pan. Do NOT try to put it out with water or a rag.

That's what I do but I don't put it in a blender I shake it up in a jar, then I let it air dry with a fan over it for about 6 hours.

Scrape up the goo and put it on parchment paper and freeze it for about 30-45 minutes, then let it air dry for the night on the parchment paper.

I don't like messing around with flammable liquids and heat, but that's just me...

is this possible to do with regular iso or you need that 91%? also, does the leaf have to be dried or can it be fresh?

It's possible to do with 70% ISO yes. Everyone always says you need 91 to 99 percent but I've made it with 70% ISO and it turned out very potent and good.

there really isn't much of a difference between 71% and 91%
yes ideally you want the plant material to be dry...you could freeze it too, that will make the trichomes brittle and ready to come off

crush leaves, in jar, pour alc, shake, sit 2 min, pour thru coffee filter, evap, scrape, put on tin foil?, put in freezer, 45 min, take out, sit overnight, wake up smoke, pass out??

Smokinheavy filter the ISO with two coffee filters too, and only shake it up in the jar for about 10-20 seconds.

Yeah that's what I do. I never thought of tin foil but I guess that would work too, I bought some parchment paper at the grocery store though. Use 2 coffee filters. It should be golden goo when it's done evaporating, then freeze it, and in the morning it'll be a much darker colored wax like goo.

this sounds awesome. I cant wait to try this. Sucks that I have to chop, but I am not running the risk with my kids. Should I dry my leaves out somehow?

It'd probably be best to let it dry out for a couple days then freeze it. I think you can use fresh buds but the potency may be slightly lowered. I'm not sure though so don't take my word for it on using fresh buds.

im reading something i found on google. It says to shake like that for 15 seconds every 5 minutes for like 20-30 min. Is that not necessary? Also it says to roll the product around in baking soda so it wont stick to anything

Bad advice on all fronts. You don't need to shake it that hard to get all the trichomes, and I personally don't want to smoke baking soda. I think baking soda is if you don't freeze it and let it air dry or something....

Yeah no problem I love helping people with personal experience that I know works and with the method I will use again in the near future.
