so i have 5 seeds sitting in a paper towel, all nice and wet in a grocery bag. in-between two glass bottles filled with warm water. they have been sitting for just about 24 hours with no signs of sprouting. how long should i wait?

i use the paper towel method in a drug bag on top of my cable box and it usually takes like 48 hours.

How is it warm if its been 24 hours? lol The bottles of water are not needed. Unless its like 20 degrees inside.

I would wait another 24 hours.
Next time you sprout your beans, drop them in a glass of filtered water for 12-16 hours, then put them in a wet paper towel. This speeds the germination process up greatly.

its not cold inside but when i feel the paper towels they feel cold so i just use warm bottles to keep them warm. and i change the water like every 6 hours to keep it constant

The seeds sprout fastest at around 85 degrees farenheit, but they will germinate at lower temps. I would just wait another day, they should sprout by then.
Fluctuations in temperatures will slow and/or destroy the seeds germination.. so I would stop with the warm bottles. Keep them at a constant temperature. No matter how vigilant you are with changing the water, you are still fluctuating their temperatures. Just put them somewhere where the temp is the same.
