Very slow growth. Help needed!

Hello,

IMG_5459.jpg

Plant looks healthy but the growth is so slow so I’m starting to think that something is wrong. It is one week old and height of seedling is only 1.5". it's to small right? Strain is auto lemon skunk by low life. it should not exceed 14" until harvest time. So it is pretty small plant. One more think I’ve read that this strain is very unstable, maybe it’s so small because of that?

I have to 45W CFL lamps ant a distance of 2-3" from a plant. Temperatures are 82F at light period and 71F at night. I have intake and outtake fans. Intake fan pumps air directly to the plant threw the pvc pipe.

I have some cheap ph soil meter and i was using it to meter the waters ph and lowering ph value by adding some homemade ph down solution. I think that might be the problem, because i've heard (sad I didn’t know that until today) that those soil meters are very inaccurate and I’m not sure it is good to measure water ph with it? I’m planning to get some ph test stripes tomorrow.

Help is appreciated.

Thanks

Looks right on track to me, a lot of growth when they sprout is root development...just because you don't see anything above soil doesn't mean nothing is under it. Hope that helps. You can check previous posts in my thread linked below to see how my autos did from start to finish.

Sounds good, enjoy! Let me know if you have any more questions. :-)
Aight! I really will have some. This is my first grow. I gathered some theoretical knowledge on a marijuana growing subject but what i know now for sure it’s not enough and i need practice.

Rome wasn't built in a day, and nobody automatically new how to grow, we all learned.

Check Jorge's Bible. Twenty three bucks and it is packed full of info for indoor or outdoor growing.

Yesterday i bought ph test stripes. It turns out that my ph soil meter is pretty accurate. So I was watering with ph in a range of 6.4-6.8. Guess more patients is what i need now...

I think my plant is dying.

Yesterday I transplanted it to bigger pot with same soil as there was no growth at all and I thought it might be due to root bound. As I looked to bottom holes I saw some root and decided to transplant it. Today I saw this sight of over fertilization. It looks like it is burnt of nutrients right? Leaves are getting yellow and those dark sports begin to appear. Two round leaves when you touch them feels like touching the plastic, don’t feel any life in them.

I am using soil with fertilizers in it :
N – 156 mg/l
P – 105 mg/l
K- 847 mg/l
Ca – 288 mg/l
Mg – 57 mg/l

Somebody please explain is this strong fertilized soil or what? What those values should be? Will marijuana plant grow in a soil with no fertilizers for first two weeks or so? it is suggested not to fertilize first few weeks right? i thougt to use fertilized soil and later use BioBizz Bloom and BioBizz TopMax. Is this a good idea?

Please HELP!!!

I wouldn't be giving them anything the first one or two weeks...soil could be hot, try flushing.

FWIW, They look fine, drop the fertilizer program and possibly get some stronger light... Maybe 100 or 150 watt equvalent cfl. walmart has them, about $8

I wasn't doing any fertilization. Everything was already in the soil. I did flush, but that seems not helping, plant is getting worse. The leaves are almost dry. Round leaves I’m sure are dead already. 90W for one plant in 2.2 square feet i think is more than enough for vegetative stage. Thanks for reply.

Sad that everything turned out like this in my first grow. I was so enthusiastic, and… Trying to figure it out how to pick a descent product and mix soil with right proportions. Think will go organic this time. Potting soil, peat moss, warm castings, perlite, maybe some sand. Just not sure this would be enough for first few weeks? There’s nothing like pre-mix in my region.

Light is fine for this stage. The plant was probably damaged during transplant. Way too young to transplant. Seedlings are some touchy bastards.

for one, only transplant a situation like this if you have to. meaning your soil is too wet and u have no choice. Most people way overwater. And try to think about it logicly when you water. Say you have a small plant like that in the big pot. Well u know you will BARELY NEED ANY WATER , So the water gets around the plant (roots). The more you overwater it, the m ore drastic it is when the p lant is soo small, because less roots to absorb the water.

to me it looks overwatered. its best to let your soil get way dry and when your plant is that small, barely throw any water down so that your plant can dry quickly and search for water, rather than just having everything moist. a plant that size i'd only put roughly a quarter cup of water glugged near the stem. You want to only put enough water to get the stem a lil wet and not far from it. Dry faster and search for water and expand.

hope this helps

one of my biggest mistakes is that i always tried to do too much, and didnt think logicly about what i do and how it affects the plants health. Meaning disciding if i should do this, or go another route.

its fun getting more green on that green thumb
