Soggy Leaves

:leaf::leaf:What would make the very lowest leaves get soggy and limp?:leaf::leaf:

I just cut them all off. There is definately not much light reaching down there due to these monsters being so bushy. Think a pruning is in order?

I just added Cal/Mag and my first set of nutes for flowering. Also used Ful-Power along with the nutes.

Also, lower stems are gettin soft and hanging. Keep in mind this is the lowest branch on the plants within 6-8" of soil. Plants are 24"+ tall. Here's pics.

It's hard to tell from the pics. But some of the lower stems and leaves are getting really soft. I watered and then noticed gnats on the soil. The next day I did a go-gnat flush. Could it be a possible too much liquids issue?

Could be a few things. Probably just fan leaves falling off naturally. You're going to lose some leaves no matter what towards the end of the plants life. Perfectly natural. How far into flower are you?

Could be overwatering or something else now that I look at your blurry photos. You're not in flower I see. Any way for you to upload some better quality photos? How often do you water?

Looks to me like your plant is just pruning itself.

I usually avoid pruning unless I am trying to direct overall plant growth. The plant will typically take care of itself in the manner and speed it sees fit. I would say its likely that your lower leaves aren't getting enough light and you plant doesn't need them.

Yes. I use clean soil. I've searched for any bugs and found none except some red little flies which should be gone now.

Looks like overwatering to me. Don't take this as gospel since I'm no guru, just an extreme hobbyist :P How are they looking since they've had a few days of relaxation?

Lower leaves are dying off. The real small ones at the base of the plant. A few branchs I took clones from are also starting to whither. Is that normal? Everything else seems ok.

you seem to have bad room conditions. leaves will curl down as i see in here because of to much moisture in the plant andisnt transpiring at the rate needed so water is trapped within the leaf. makes the velvet feeling soggy darker green sometimes as well.
the rate of uptake of water is more than the reslease from stomata..environment issue. temps or humidity or air flow

leave curl opposite..up/canoe when its opposite. to dry. the leaves will curl over to create a shadow to slow the rate of transpiration. so not enough water is going in the plant as its releasing.
so is to hot or to dry or air flow

Thanks for the reply. My humidity is pretty steady at 40. My temps are steady at 69-73. I plan on putting a portable heater in to keep a temp of 77. Think its the humidity?

.....to cold. effects the stomata. they arent open enough to allow fast water release. get the heat up and those leaves wont come back.

have a read...temp humidity is all related to how this works. when we run co2 we want 86 degree so stomata are at the most open posiiton to allow the faster rates of food and all the things co2 does to speed and increase the plants metabolism. if they are closed the whole plants process is slowed from food to ..well everything. at night they close due to cold. day they open from heat.
im not saying use 86 for no co2..with co2 things work a bit diff is all. just how they relate to temps and also humidity. this is also why we foliar with light on and not the old muth poflight out. stomata is closed at light out so it didnt do what it was supposed to if it is a systemic product, just raise the light..(diff topic)

Before I installed my fresh air intake, temps were 86 and they were doing great. I have noticed a significant slowdown in growth. I will raise my heat. Thanks for your help. How do I give a rep? <----newb

dont go to the 86 i talked about. that is only good when using co2. i dont run more than 84 without co2 and dont go below 70 or food processing slows big time and below 60 its stopped completely. we dont want much day/night temp shift nor humidty. my humidity stays within 5% from day to night and withion 5 degree...the less shift we have the better process the plant can do

My temps are getting up to an average high of 80-82 and a low at night of around 65-68 degrees with humidity at 45-50%6 steady. How much is this stunting my ladies' growth?

Sorry to jack the thread, I just have this one simple question.
