Ohhh I'd get wasted. Hash, unless it's extra super fresh, already contains a decent percentage of free THC. The original potheads in 19th-century England (Confessions of a Hashish-Eater) would consume fractional OUNCES of, say, Lebanese or Moroccan or that nice Indian temple finger stuff ... and get wasted into another dimension for two or more days.

Hmm.. interesting. I've never consumed raw weed but I have consumed raw hash (in high school I ate a gram) and tried playing basketball with my Dad outside and was laughing at my missing the net and my eyes were all red and I was wasted. Then I went up to my room and listened to music I think haha.

idk about the temps required, i'm not that kind of an engineer, i do know that it rocked me for quite awhile and i sure as shit will eat it again if faced with no other means to ingest a nug that i was gonna have to toss :eyesmoke: i am kind of hardcore, takes alot of smoke to get me buzzed and i was pleasantly surprised with my chocolate milk/jack frost combo :peace:

oxidative decarboxylation isn't the only form of decarb.... catalytic decarboxylation, for instance, can happen in the presence of certain acids .... BUT i'm not chemist so i'm speculating here.

I am a retired organic chemist. The decarboxylation in question is simple thermal decarb., no catalyst or oxidant required. I once decarboxylated a 100-gram batch of bho-equivalent extract prior to further purification. At 110 deg C, it fizzed with loss of gas. After 10 minutes at temp, all the THCA had been converted. Oh those were the days. cn

i guess to clarify my question i should ask: in the presence of a catalyst/oxidant (like stomach acid), would it be far-fetched to imagine catalytic decarb happening without the temperature point necessary for thermal decarb? in other words, as long as the COOH is shed before the THC/THCA is metabolised, it should still be psychoactive, right?

As for decarboxylation of THCA in the stomach/gut ... I don't know all the ins&outs, but those who know say "it doesn't happen to a significant or useful degree". cn

hey mello, it appeared to be fresh, i don't know *shrugs* 100_1671.jpg100_1670.jpg this is what some of it looked like. i put each nug in a baggie corner alone, then wrapped the shit out of it with that sticky saran wrap stuff, each nug after wrapped was about the size of a small golf ball. by the time it got there it was some compact hash/bud/stank. i opened each one as needed. i used one of those little glass "bats" like from a dugout. had to be stealthy taking care of mom, she was stuck downstairs :eyesmoke: anyway, it was throw this opened bundle away or eat the nug so i swallowed and it worked out just fine.

p.s. i do know a little about pharmacology and physiology, chemistry, ehhh not so much ;-)
