put plug-ins and or auto spraying ona aerosol's or something household is cheaper in strategic places, like near windows and your front door etc, visitors to the door will only smell the air-freshener these work well as you can plug them in and forget about them they work for a month or so before they need refills
to remove the smell from the space the plants are in ozone works to some degree and is cheap, but not good if you are going to be in the same area as the ozone
ionizers work a little bit too and are cheap
you can get little household florescent lights that emit ions too and work as mini ionizers .. they are very cheap i have heard they help

they sh0uldnt stink mayb sumtin died in ur h0use 0r sumtin if ur n0t fl0wering the 0nly thing they might smell like is grass with mayb a little smell if u bury ur n0se in it. but it sh0uldnt stink up ur apartment and if ur n0t fl0wering h0w d0 u kn0 they are female wat strain r they is it bag seed cl0nes what?????

I know exactly what you're talking about with skunks! LMFAO! I grew up in the country and always loved the smell of skunks near by. And yah. They stink already. LOL. I have no idea how, but I can smell them from the other room. It doesn't bother me at all but my wife says it hits her in the face whenever she comes through the front door. We live in an apartment so I gotta try to keep the funk to an absolute minimum. As far as budget, as cheap as possible. The only spare cash I have is what I get from pimping out my blood plasma.

Suprisingly yah. They're still vegin but you can deff smell them. That pic doesnt quite do them justice though.

the best way to rid apartment of the smell is buy cinamin , and cloves put them in a bowl and boil it wa la smells gone every day add little water and keep it going it works awesome

Imo ... all the "mask odor with a stronger odor" strategies will leave you in the lurch. You'll have to come up with SOME way to actually remove That Smell. A charcoal filter plus fan is the cheapest way ... please start saving for that or something like it. cn

Nah man. You can deff tell that the smell is straight doobage. I know it's crazy that they smell this strong when they're still vegin but I'm not joking. They're bagseed babies, but it was from descent bud.

I was thinking that maybe I could get an activated carbon filter for an air conditioner or furnace or something and tape it to the out-blowing side of a box fan and set it in the closet with them. Yall think that would work?

Those filters are "light duty". It will work somewhat, but that filter will saturate quickly. But it's better than nothing, or some cloying overstank. cn

You can get a vent fan booster for like $30 bucks.
buy 10lbs of activated charcole on ebay (I have bought it in the past for like $40 bucks shipped).
window screen - $10 a roll.
and a small roll of the small metal screen for yur screen door - can't remember what it cost - I bought a big roll and used a bunch of it for several projects. - It was pretty dear if I remember correctly though.
a needled and thread (get your wife to grab it for you)....
and I can show you how to set up a scrubber that will alst you at least a year before you have to change the carbon (for $40 from there on out)..... It's still a good value to buy the fan/scrubber kits on ebay for the $150... and you can buy replacement filters like every 6 months - or make a good one and change it out every year if you are DIY inclined.
I have one built, not installed at my place - I can take pics and try and talk you through the build if that fits into your budget. It's one of those things that IS soooo important - and I do think the air wick sprayers are tops if you are looking to mask smell for short term. As I said to you in the PM and someone else mentioned here... there's no replacement for a scrubber... but the other things MAY get you by. If they are stinkin up the pad in veg... it's going to become a necessity in flower.
Let me know if that's an option.. or I'll keep wrackin the brain on it.

So about $80 total? That would be something I would have to save up for.
But it would be more doable than a $150 scrubber. I'm leaning towards the automatic sprayers for the time being, but if you can come up with any other ideas I'd love to hear them.

You'll know what we are saying once they hit week 4 of flower and have a month+ to go. You will just have to be an airfreshener nazi for this round then.
The automatic sprayers are good for sure, but you have to make sure you don't run out and have spare cans.
You know at restaurants - in the can - strapped to the wall they have the industrial type fresheners?
nab one. Pay for your meal - and go back a few times to help pay for it to the owners.. Theft is wrong, but doing time for growing a plant is bullshit, and sometimes desperate times call for desperate measures too.
I'd steal to feed my kid. I wouldn't even bat an eye.

Reason I ask is you can also somewhat control WHEN odors come out of your tent if you can make it airtight with some panda film and velcro tape (along with some cheap ass fan and a timer.)

Unfortunately not. I live in the U.S.A. I plan on moving to B.C. within the next 5 years though. I'm only planning on ending up with 3 girls this run, if I'm lucky. Hopefully it will be manageable.
Would a scrubber work in a room with no exhaust vent? Like could I just hang it from the coat bar and let it recirculate the air in there?
