Getting to these points and or over it is highly reccomended the grower use Co2 in their room as your plants will only be able to photosythesise a certain amount of light before needing a Co2 boost to benifit
We are talking about growing pot. I'm not expecting someone asking these questions to run 2000 watts of incandescent bulbs. Lumens have nothing to do with growing - they aren't PAR there's a big difference in that too... they are lumens... look it up.The issue with that "minimum lighting per square foot" is that it is all based on watts. Watts and lumens are hugely different. A150 watt hps emits about 16,000 lumens, a 100 watt incandescent lamp emits 1,260 lumens. Big difference there.
Most of us go with lumens per foot, lots of info on here on that.
Not me.. I have tools.jesus somebody likes research lol
if you have a semi descent LED dont sell it. ya it may not outwork your hps, but since they pull such little wattage you can always use it to keep a mother plant or just for cloneing. you may not see the benefits now, but when your first crop is 3 weeks from done you'll want to start cookin some clones or a mother under there so that your not tryin to start from seed or track down viable reputable clones. thats just what i would doOK I decided I'm moving my grow into the closet and sticking one plant under the led and another under the 150 watt mini hps . Should turn out nice only cost 70 for the hps , if I like it ill get another and sell my led or use it as side light.
