IF YOU DON'T CARE ABOUT SPECIFICS AND SUCH, SCROLL DOWN TO THE BOLD PARAGRAPH, READ JUST THAT AND LOOK AT THE FIRST PICTURE BENEATH IT!!! BUT PLEASE, SOMEONE GIVE ME SOME ADVICE!! THANK YOU!
So lemme break it down for yall that don't know my Babies' story, in a nutshell of course. (yea rirght - *cough cough* ) I LST'd throughout the plant's entire veg growth, 20/4 light cycle.... whatever you want to call it! It was in this state for around 3 months (I know, insane!) and would never show ANY preflowers... it was aggrivating and was an absolute BUSH (exactly how I wanted it to be), so I decided to through it into flowering and pray for the best...... my dream came true like Martin Luther and "it" turned out to be a SHE, I was finally united with my baby girl!!!!
Anywho, when I started the 12/12 light cycle, flowering, budding.... or whatever the hell you want to call it! lol haha.... I stopped LST'n. For what reason? None really. I just figured if I wanted those big, long donkey dick buds stickin' straight up like a porn star, all over a big bush.... (I love it when a plant has buds like that - No homo on any of this btw lol) then I should chill with the LST during flower and just let those colas reach for the sky!
That's EXACTLY what happened but it started STRECHING FAST during just the first 5 days! Every morning when I would wake up, it had grown 0.5"-1" !! It was getting out of control, to the point that my hanging cfls (mostly from the 300w cfl BULB, not the T5 running down the back because it stays SUPER COOL) would burn the plant because it had grown into them in less than a full day! Shortly after, space started and was (until today) to become an issue.... Today I did some minor trimming, here or there. Maybe 4 leaf branches from the stalk, tops? (with no grow sites obviously!) I also tied down some of the cola branches (everyone except the main cola) so they could get better light and it wouldn't be as tall. It all looked so much better afterwards and the light is now hitting all of the right places!
BUT HERES MY PROBLEM!!! While LST'n one of the cola branches (the biggest one at that - other than the top/main cola) very slowly and cautiously with a slipknot and it snapped it from the stalk!!! It's still connected and I've actually heard people say to do this because that spot will turn into a scar, that resembles a HARD ASS ROCK! lol But I'm not sure if I snapped it too much or if this is the way ppl do it. I know this is a common problem with LST'n flowering plants and I knew what I was getting myself into because my stems, stalk, branchs, etc. are ALL pretty damn hard! I tried doing it slow, it didn't even feel like it broke - the only way I know is because I did a FULL inspection after the work done on 'er today!
ANY HELP/FEEDBACK/OR CALLING ME A DUMBASS is truly appreciated.... here's some pics of the aftermath.... good and bad - it looks naked! for me being STUPID!!!
WARNING: SINGLE PLANT JUNGLE!!!
THE SNAP!
THE BUD PRODUCING ON THE SNAPPED BRANCH!
LOOKS LIKE I WON'T BE GETTING THE LONG FAT BUDS... BUT IM OK WITH POPCORN NUGGETS, AS LONG AS THEY'RE GOLF BALLS
