i don't really have one. mine is a gas grill. i'm not sure how to even cook a tri-tip on an open bar-b-que. i'm not dragging the gas one to a camp out though. i'll figure it out. i won't disappoint.

I'm a master Tri-Tip BBQer on a Weber FDD. The ex-father-in-law was the best I've ever seen with a BBQ, and showed me the technique to proper Tri-Tip BBQing. and maybe some foil.. we can put a bunch taters on the BBQ's. Mmm.. I'm bringing a gas grill. It also has a burner so that will come in handy and also make a good BBQ in case someone wants to use it on a whim. Until a couple years ago.. all I did was weber n briquets. Age turned that around.... gas is so much faster and easier around the house
I'll bring 4-5 big tri up and cook em up with my secrete seasonings and the garlic bread... I also have a big bag of kingsfords and hickory chips I will bring. Stay tuned for pics.. I'm heading out come hell or high water in the morning to the camp site.
