A friend of mine told me about a time when he and his brother were doing an aluminum job - they had a 4x4 sheet of 3/8" on a table saw taking a very small (but 4' long) wedge out of one side when at the end of the cut the piece caught & was jammed through his abdomen.
His brother took a circ saw, lopped off the ends so it wasn't so long & he hung onto the roll bar of his pick up while being driven to the ER gushing the whole way.
I didn't see that & it still gives me the willies.

...I feel lucky that I didn't get pierced by something...I hope your friend was okay...there were a few things that could of got me...so I really do feel luck.............thanks...Peace

fucking fuck is all that i can say about that. im glad that fall didnt go any worse, you're truly lucky to be alive man. how did the kids take it? my dad broke his neck in a farm accident when i was a kid and it was the scariest time of my life.

kinda crazy, i remember a few years ago, we had to replace the motor on top of our grain elevator, 75 feet in the air. a friend of ours loaned us his skytrack to make the job 10x easier and while we were up there the wind was blowing pretty good and i looked over at my dad and said, "fuck i hope this doesnt tip over" and he replied, "yeah, one of these tipped over in detroit the other day and they had to cut the guy out of it." i wonder if he was talkin about you..

...lol...they probable were!...a few other lift accidents happened around that time but I was the only one get cut out...the other guys were a painter and a window washer. The painter guy died and the window washer was tied to a lifeline on the roof , so he was okay.

My kids were pretty freaked out at first, I looked like a giant purple grape for like a month...and I was stuck in a hospital bed for a while

ugh rowlman i am with ya there man, i have had a femur nail and 3 anchor screws, i broke my femur in 5 places and had a 3 inch sliver off to the side. i also severed my ankle joint. was rebulit, no hardware, just fused. *rubs leg and takes a hit*

the 2nd and 3rd are self explanitory...it broke
the last is the rod and screws in the 1st pic....still got one of those in there


...a few years back I was working from a manlift in Detroit...it tipped over...we were 60 feet up ( 6th floor out side appartments )

How was the Oxycontin you got probably got perc 30s. take one of those and you wont feel shit and your couch will feel amazing.

The oxys were great untill I started snorting them...JK, then they got better, they turn into super speed...lol. I prefer the vics or perks for pain....an oxy can be taking with a reg. strength tylenal every other dose...those are the doses that warm your body and help the pain,but 2 a day don't do it for me.. Plus the doc would only give me 60 # 20's a month...I'd rather have 120 #10 vics myself...for pain. I was finding myself snorting 2-3 oxys a night(for a week)...and then I'd be fucked at the end of the month. good thing I don't shoot drugs!!,I only like intervius drugs when the doc does it, then I love the morphin too!! I had a morphine drip IV in the hospital, that button never left my hand. I pressed that fucker every 10 minutes....they treid to send me home with 60 500 vics, I laughed at the nurse, I told her to get the doctor or I wasn't leaving.
Thats Detroit for ya. I looked like a giant plum for 2 weeks, I'll post some pics off my laptop when the cord comes UPS...which is horseback in my town...lol

Damn thank god your a live after that shit,did they knock you out when they took the shit out your leg?
I've had pins in my wrist before and they pulled them right out with needle nose pliers,that felt crazy lol
