New page, new picture. I've been wanting to add some micro but I can't seem to find it anywhere. I'm gonna say it's been 17 days since sprout. It's considerably smaller than the strawberry diesel given the nodes are relatively on par with each other at about the same day. So I have to say the ice is a much smaller at this stage and will probably be in veg longer than the SD was. Only time will tell. Anywho, I've been using 1/4 tsp for 2 gallons of water and haven't changed that yet. If I could find the micro I'd throw some of that in. Given I'm doing everything exactly the same with the exception of not using nutes so early to prevent nute burn like the SD had it's obvious how much different these two strains are.

This was taken yesterday evening.

how you been man? everything looks good......I got a Moby Dick, another LSD, and a Tangerine Dream about 5th week of flower now - the TD genetics are still not stable enough for me to enjoy. So I am gonna let this do whatever and then I'm going to look at some different strains......maybe pre-98 bubba - or some HeadBand.....not sure......

Hey shim, mine are at nearly the exact same stage as yours, one of mine is absolutely huge and reaches out to the drip ring while the other is not even close. Both the same strain but completely different plants, u can check it out in my sig if you like. I will be posting new pics tomorrow to better show the size difference.

Looks really nice mate. What's your ph and ppms? Are they fluctuating?
I'm not really checking pH right now, the nutes aren't strong enough to keep them anywhere close to 5.5-5.8. I'm guessing they'd be around 6.5-7 if i did check. ppms are at 130ish about to drain res in a few minutes. Things are looking good. It's growing amazingly fast now actually, it looks nothing like the picture I posted yesterday. The stem is getting large quick.

Good to hear that man, I'm getting paranoid with my ph :( At least there's some comfort knowing that it's ok to go up to 7

Meant to say I found the micro the other day and added 3/4 of a tsp to the res. Didn't really take ppms up by much, They are @ 160 now. Mixed up a new batch of nutes I may use upon next res change. It's got 2 tsp of micro and 1/4 tsp of nova bloom to each gallon. PPM for that is 380. Plant seems to be looking a lot better since I added the micro. Especially today I notice the leaves are much more green and are nice and crisp.

Is micro any good? Might invest in some on the next grow. Just using FNB for this grow.
Not completely sure, so far the plant is loving the micro. It's sooo much greener since i've been using it. I took the leap of faith and went ahead and added the mix I had. It was a 360ppm mix, so far so good. No signs of nute burn, it's been about 2 days since I added it to the res. Again it was 2 tsp of Flora Micro and 1/4 tsp of Nova Bloom per gallon. The micro gives the water a nice redish tent, not that it matters. I will be posting pictures later today and I can say it's quite the difference. Still debating on if I should lst this sucker, from the looks of it the secondary nodes are growing very fast and might not need lst. The ppm jump was fairly large before it was only 130ppm mix. So a jump of 260ppm, plant didn't seem to mind so that's great. Thinking my next mix will be 3tsp of micro and 1/2 tsp of nova bloom per gal. Not sure when I'm going to flower, at least another week or two. I think today is the 21st day since sprout. I'd have to check back to make sure that's right but I believe it is. So a 4-5 week veg for this one I think will be enough to fill the screen.

The root system on the Ice is massive, it's so much larger than the SD was at this stage. I think it's about on par with the SD when I switched to flower. The roots look very healthy no signs of root rot or alge growing in the res. All is good in the neighborhood thus far. Let's hope I can keep it that way! All of my noob mistakes should be behind me since this is my 3rd official grow and 2nd with this particular setup.

I'm going to try something new. In veg I'm going to use more micro and less Nova Bloom. Then in flower I'm either going to run only NB or more NB than micro.

The micro provides more N - I've been using it in that very same way - when I see lighter green leaves, I add about 1.5 tsp or less to my 2 gal water bucket of FNB solution. Like you said, it seems to do the trick. I've also been adding 1.5 tsp per gallon of H2O2 to my water, which keeps the roots in the rez extra oxygenated. I picked up a bottle of the 3% stuff at the drugstore the other day.

really interested to see what effect the micro has. i switched from nova bloom to nova gro on one of my plants and she loved it. the difference was instant with massive growth over night.

Nice looking plant you got there. My Nirvana ICE had a couple different phenos, but one in particular finished in 8weeks and packs a serious punch. Hope you get one of the good ones.

Yea, me too. I'd like a great pheno for this ice, so far it looks great. It's growing really fast, root system is perfect, nute solution seems to be perfect. Everything is A ok for now. Debating if I should lst it or not. It's growing so fast I don't think I'll need to. The secondary nodes are already alternating and it hasn't been 4 weeks yet! One more thing I'm gonna go an extra week with this one so 5 weeks. (1 week seedling, 4 week veg) last grow I did a 4 week (1 week seedling, 3 week veg) because it's about 1/2 the height of the SD at the same stage, but it's so much better looking.

I wanted to post these for a couple reasons. First because this plant is growing FAST, second I wanted to show that a pH of 5.5-5.8 isn't really that important in vegetative stage. Still planning on doing a 5 week veg, 6 max. Anywho onto the pictures.

Coming along great - what's your ppms running at? With a 6.5 pH, you must not be using much fnb yet...? :weed:
