Hey, I'm sorry that I posted this after posting it also in the "Advanced Marijuana Cultivation" forum, but I didn't get an answer there and I'm really stressed.

I made a huge mistake by tying a bent stem a couple of days ago using zipties.
Now I realized that my stem has OUTGROWN the zip tie and I fear the zip tie is literally suffocating it.

I'm in day 3 of week 3 into flowering.
Am I killing my plant? I have no possible way of removing the ziptie without hurting the plant. The stem is growing and growing but the ziptie is tight around the stem in the 2/3 height.

This is my 1st grow.
I know I'm a total idiot.

Thanks for your help!

Snip it off right at the "zip" part. There should be a gap there. Or if your that worried about possibly cutting your plant, use a fine point tool, jewels screwdriver, pin/needle, or a paper clip and look at the zip part. You will see the locking piece. Move it and just un-zip the tie.

yeah small flathead wedged in there will help lift the plastic piece that keeps the ziplock tight, should slide right off...? Just a heads up to the op, but i used like a dollar worth of hempwick and some screws for anchors in lst and worked out great if you have any around the house..
