wtf is eating my plant? i see NO bugs!

i've never had bugs in my grow beyond a minor fungus gnat problem which i quickly resolved. this one plant has leaves that look like it's being munched on but i have looked at the plant with a scope for a half hour and i can't find any evidence of bugs. no droppings, no webs, eggs, larva, nothing. it's not from the cat because i know what the cat does to leaves, trust me, and this isn't it.

the plant is otherwise in fine health. it's growing like it's on roids. the pic makes it seem like the new growth tips are a little yellow but in person they look green as green can be. they get sprayed daily with plain 'ol tap water but i've always done that and nothing ever ate my leaves.

this is my first go at an all organic grow, so i guess i could have invited something in, but why the hell can't i see it?

for whatever reason the macro setting on the camera gave me the finger and these are the only pics that aren't blurry. anyone know what this is? are there bugs i wouldn't be able to see under 60x?

The plant im growing now has a few leaves like that but same thing, no evidence of bugs it's just growing screwed up and it happened during the stretch now it's all good.

Check around for beetles, they like to get in the house this time of year. That was one insect having one lunch..if it was outdoors I would blame a grasshopper.

yeah, i'm not particularly worried since the plant seems otherwise fine. what concerns me a little is the fact that the edges of what was munched are actually oxidizing, meaning that the plant didn't "mutate" to grow this way, the leaf was actually damaged somehow. these are only vegging right now. i just don't want to find out 2 weeks into flowering that i let it go too long.

Whatever it was probably won't be back, I get those once in a while in the house during the Fall...my cat gets them though.

sometimes when i top or clip leaves with scissors i accidently clip a very little bit of a fresh new node that starts, then when it finally get to a good size i could see the cut or pinch i took out of it when it was smaller. kinda looks like you did that here.

i litterally sat there for a whole half hour with the scope looking at all the leaves, stems, dirt surface. i blew on it to see if anything moved, i sprayed it with water to see if anything moved.

i like your suggestion that it was a one time bug having a one time snack. it has been unseasonably warm for this time of year, so i suppose some random thing could have came in all confused or something.

it's just that it's a pretty big chunk of leaf that was eaten and can't help but to think that it was either a single bigger bug or a crapload of smaller bugs.

is there someplace else i should look for bugs outside of my grow area? i don't have any more houseplants so i don't know where else to look. i checked my opened bags of soil and looked at a few handfuls under the scope, and nothing.

i think i'm just overreacting, but seriously wtf?

lol its a spare room and those dishes haven't been used in years (that's a pattern on there, not crust ) . it gets vaccumed and wiped down in there more often than it looks, but that's a good point.

I'm telling you, it was a munch and run by one culprit...besides...fan leaves go into the trash eventually in my house anyways. Go have a bong...lol

son of a bitch i think you could be right. i might have pinched the leaf when i tied a branch for lst, and maybe it just freed itself. i did see another leaf that looked recently torn and i just ignored it because who cares about a little tear. it does look eaten but i can envision a scenario where pinching and tearing could cause what i have.

Don't know if you have them over there but usually if its getting munched and you can't see it'll be a vine wevel larvae adults lay eggs and around 7a months later they hatch

I wouldn't worry too much about two blades, probably nicked it somehow. We are own worst enemies when it comes to over thinking shit. Is it still confined to only a couple of blades? BTW, getting that Salmon Creek Kush thread ready to start. In the past I just start a thread in the "General Marijuana Growing" forum, is that the best place to start a grow log? I am only "able to roll a joint" as you are "Mr Ganja", so your advice in here is much appreciated. Looking forward to your feedback again!
