I was just browsing around looking for mini dwc ideas and came arcoss this! 
! So are you guys doing a contest and stuff or just kind of doing your own thing? I just recently attempted a few clones in water and it worked so good that I grabbed a pump and air stone for my first DWC attempt and found this
2 things,
My Tap ppm is 400, is this going to be a problem
and when can I start adding nutes, soil guy here too
This is my little blackberry thats around 10 days old from cutting and showing small roots. I just picked up the pump and air stones today so I just adjusted the ph of the water and left it for now. Anyway I'm subbed, looking great so far peeps!

There is currently, recently started grow contest. The rules were start from seed and in a plastic coffee container. Most are doing it as a single dwc. I hope to make a rdwc. Hoping to get it made shortly to get started.

Whats up Smelly, you can use tap water but just keep in mind that it will give you higher ppms than distilled and if you do use tap water just let it sit out for 24 hours before using. I have grown a plant in DWC with tap water. As far as the contest....we are still trying to figure out the details and then we are going to start another thread but its going to be in a coffee container. Also make sure you put some duct tape around the cup so that the light dont penetrate through the cup give you problems down the line with Algae or Slime! na man, i will pick some up today tho, do i spray it concentrated or will i have to dilute it some? also check out this new root growth!! its sick!! transplanted to a 5gallon tub last night, im thinking small can, small plant, big can big plant, im using 3inch netpots, maybe 4in might be bette, oh dont mind the jagged hole and electric tape, trying to cut plastic while being lit up like vegas, is kinda a task to do..lol.. my ppm is set at 800, ph is 5.6 temp is 79F

oh! question...see those 2 big yellow leaves, can I cut those?? their a nuisance

Thanks for the info BKB! I'm so excited to get this going, its been a long time coming
I'll probably posting in here quite frequent as new growth shows and new problems arise lol... My main concern is the PPM of my tap, "which I'm going to run distilled" and the temps of my res. I'm very excited to see how this play out though, have you finished one of these micro dwc grows yet? curious on the yield as I know it will vary from strain to strain and other factors

I found a coffie container, now all I need is the 3" net pot and hydroton which I will pick up soon! Root growth is fun to watch, they've double in size over night! Does your guys ph ever fluctuate, I plan on changing the res at least once a week.

LoL, thats insane!! thirsty little guy huh lol! I'm glad I found that coffie container then haha, I need to get a few things and I'll be switching it over soon. I only planned on vegging this first little experiement for 2-3 weeks at most

IMO the coffee cans start going through water so fast that they dont have time to have PH fluctuations.
nope, ph has been 5.7-5.8 last 3 days...
i bought some 3% peroxide, should I mix this with my res for just these brown roots showing? or should I just not add it since I have new fresh milky white growth everywhere?
it seems that is whats going to happen, the roots will just come off...i brought my lights closer, this plant is soooo stunted I dunno if i should go ahead and flower it, I mean, its been a month in veg and its only 3-3.5 inches tall...its just bag of hydro seed, I dont know if its F/M yet, its my first grow, lots of trial and error on it, overall im positive, its just sooo small..i have 6 23watt CFLS, i saw a grower in the CFL forum that had 8 23watt CFLs and his plant was almost 3 ft, his first grow, and all the lights were above, none surrounded the plant
