Almost 400 Plants and They Left Us Here?

So, here it is Sun. 5/22/11, and they have not come back! I have called a bunch of lawyers and picked one I like should I need it. The day after all this happened , I had a CHP car follow me right on my bumper, then weirdly, out of no where, make a u turn.... that was sort of scary and I imagine they will harass me when they see me. They came in with the sheriff's that day for some unknown reason. I guess they just wanted to remind me or something. Anyway, I want to do it again. Only this time not as many plants. I will have to stay to my limits!

Get a lawyer...!!! if you are legit, and you are growing for the cause, not "selling" in any way, and especially not distributing to anyone without a prescription then you have nothing to worry about, you should get a lawyer, go to court, GET YOUR SHIT BACK..!!! and sue those bitches for punitive damages... B U T! if you have been doing any kind of "funny" business then you need a good ass lawyer cuz your going to jail buddy.... what county are you in? im in SoCal and there are a bunch of lawyers around here that specialize in marijuana cases they work for people to open up collectives and grow ops, and also harassing cops and feds =/ and them following you is harassment try to record them or take a picture so you have evidence will strengthen your case big time

Wow, that's crazy shit. Makes no sense really. How can they take evidence and not charge you with a crime?

I don't think you're in the clear, but it's a good sign you haven't been busted yet. IMO you should consider yourself really lucky and move. And stay under 99 plants! Vegging out bigger plants is annoying, I know, but it could save you from fed prison.

As someone who is from Monterey County, and had a friend or two get busted there... I wish you the best of luck! Even with the your rec, they might be coming back for you. Sounds like it may be time to move a little bit north (Santa Cruz), and possibly start over. Best of lucky my fellow greenthumb!

JAJAJA Thats the title of this post and i missed that... Yea he is going to federal prison, and moving isnt going to help shit unless he goes on the run because once they build up their case against you they will get an arrest warrant and moving isnt going to protect you

how do you go to the federal pen? you get put in jail then bond out. 2-3 years down the road you go to the fed pen.

they are just doing shakedowns and pulling your plants and you cant afford to get them back unless you have huge lawyer money. move to a diff house and start over and dont tell ANYONE!!!!!

If u r operating a collective grow in california u can have up to 99 plants per patient of the collective. So all u need is 4 patients plus urself and u got 400+ plants growing "legally".

Hope this dude made it out alright. Usually when a grow gets busted that has over 99 plants, the feds like to get involved. Which is big trouble

Not necessarily true. Collective growing is all about grey areas. It's more about what you can defend in court. 99 plants per patient is very difficult to defend. My lawyer says to keep it around 10-15 per patient. But he still tells me to keep it under 99 total.

Same here, my lawyer said to keep it under 30.

I am curious if size matters.. we had a bust out here in norcal and it was all about how big they were.. 14' tall plants. So 30 x huge plants could still be a concern to defend once you get to court.

I think that Monster huge plants just make sensational news so they play up the size for ratings. The bullet being dodged with 99 max is a mandatory minimum federal. If stuff is going weird with local PD they will find other or any reasons to kick in the door.

In which case your guns turn your medical garden into an illegal garden. Guns + cameras dont do shit for search warrants. Hope this guy made it out alright.

I remember tommy chong talking about getting busted for chong glass. He said the thing they kept asking about was where his guns were. He was saying that a firearm would have opened him up to some big mandatory minimums.

Yeah, I obviously do not support the way guns/ganja are viewed legally, but I accept the law for what it is. As lame as it is. Plus, I'd rather stab someone ;)
