Indianapolis cops are dicks!

So me and my friends were walking to the LQ store down the ST when all this shit happened. It was about 9:30 PM a cop stops us and says all 3 of by the front of my car. He said we were spotted stalking a woman on a ST. We were all like what are you talking about and blah blah blah. He then puts 1 of my friends in cuffs and then goes in his car while me and another person were left un-handcuffed. He then comes back out after about 3 mins and puts the other guy in cuffs. He then tells me to walk by his car to see the report. He then has me read it and this is when the plot really thickens. I noticed the report was typed up by him. I reached across him and hit the back button on the PC cops use and the letter of the report started being deleted. This is when I got shitty! I was like what the fuck is your problem! He then says nothing and looks like a deer caught in headlights. He then puts me in cuffs and starts getting caught up his story. The original story was someone called from stanish which was BS because we literally just turned on that st when he stopped us. He then says the call came from ashbury and that we were last seen on stanish. Another cop pulls up who is probably about 50. He knew the younger cop was fucking with us and told him to let us go. The younger cop started arguing with him by the side of the car. After we were let go the older cop gave us his badge number and the younger cops badge number and told us to call him in to the city county building. Now we were drunk or high and weren't bothering anybody. This is the first time I've literally been stopped by a cop for no reason other than to mess with me. Atleast not all cops are dicks but anybody who lives in Indianapolis will defiantly tell you there is a problem with younger cops trying to earn there stace. You guys got any stories similar to this?

Almost every night when i used to walk up to the gas station (about 2 blocks from my house) a few years back... Local cops are fucking pricks. Learn your rights and invoke them. They haven't fucked with me in a very long time.

Sounds right. Sorry to hear about the shitty night. Those younger cops are a pain, it's like they have something to prove. As was said, learn your rights and invoke them. Compliance with police officers normally ends with a conviction.

Ok stop for a second. Are you for real? I mean people on this site would love a good rant or exaggerated story is this what you claim really happened? Nothing left out or added?
If so that is really really something. That is not normal. I've never heard of anything like that before- not for a western country (only from maybe Brazil or Ghana or something). It actually sounds scary, I mean a cop can't put you in jail (just lockup) because a court needs to find you guilty but its scary to think you could be hand cuffed and treated so badly over what seemed to be a sham.

All I can say is if your local cops are like that be really careful and just don't walk with joints or ever smoke in your car- since probable cause says they can search you for just thinking they smelt something- let alone the fact it sounds like they'll break your rights without any legal motive

I used to work with my brother installing carpet...One evening, out of town for work, we were looking for something to do..ballgame.. something. Anyway we get pulled over by 2 punk city cops.. I guess they didn't like my hair..They put us on our asses on the curb and started searching my brothers van.. I asked my brother if he gave them consent to search...one cop said stfu.. I said no.. do you have consent to search that van?? He said no, we don't need consent. I said why not? He said we can search wherever we please, whenever we please. I said well if you don't have a warrant or a reasonable suspiscion, then get out of that fucking van. They continued searching..found nothing and they let us go. I told the one cop I wished you would have found something..and he said what? I said yeah,, that was a an illegal search, the evidence would have been tossed out, or it should. He just said we were free to go.

Yeah redivider I don't see where you are comming from...maybe you are saying you are more hardcore than him? I dunno.

The first cop sounds like a suss dick. I've never liked police but I would hope it is only the harrasment like Warped1 said. Like me for example (harrased alot but here is one) I was sitting on a park bench one day killing time near a ferry terminal to go to close by island. Anyway while im there a cop drives up into the park and gives a hobo some shit and moves em on which is typical in that city but then i started to walk away past them as they were wrapping up. I went past and as i was nearly in the carpark in between the terminal and park the cop car slowly drove behind me close just following. Then when i was in the car park and they suddenly stop me and search all my shit and start questioning me. Pretending like I wasn't innocently sitting right next to them for 10 minutes already and saying i'm suspect because I was young and had a small bag on me and in a car park. I asked the guy if he liked treating people like shit and his reply was "i've been doing this for 20 years so you tell me". I was only like 18 at the time so i didn't even know what to say after that. I really didn't expect the law in my face to say they don't care about being wrong and dicks.
I would expect that kind of stupid shit but it's a big leap to get to the point where someone is being set up by the people that the general public think are the upholders of justice.
