First grow, Auto Easy Ryder

i'm doing my first grow with "propper" seeds aswell .... i have made a few mistakes (too much nutes, fluctuating temps, powerouts ect) but on the whole this grow is going much better then my last bag seed grow ... much better! .. i think its about learning as you go along and finding ways to improve on the mistakes... for example, i have 2 more GOM seedlings in there second week now, they won't get nutes until they ask for them instead of me giving them when i think they need it... and hopefully the power wont fail again in the next 7 weeks LOL

Haha I feel the same way brotha! Here are a few pics of my girl, ive seen on the tops of most of the colas there are like a ball looking thing growing in the corners, you can see them in the pictures. And also there is also a little hair growing in! haha and a tiny one on the otherside, the pistols are starting to get super fuzzy and more clear and wider. Are these signs shes starting to flower?!?!?!

yeah i think i see preflowers... its quite hard to make out detail with the hps on it kinda bleeds orange through the pics.. but small bulges with tiny white hairs sticking out i usually the start

i've not grown easy ryder is that a fairly stable auto? (does it flower regardless of lighting hours is what i mean, rather then fuck balling around untill you reduce it to 12/12 like a photoperiod) ... sorry i dont know more about it but as i say i'm not familar

swamp, i just found your grow thread i will go back and read thru the whole thing but i believe we started our plants at the same time! i've got two Easy Ryders and an auto white russian going for my very 1st grow as well two started on Oct 20th the 2nd easy ryder i didn't start till Nov 1st but your plants seems to be way behind so i'll go back and see what's been up but maybe we can help each other our and share info i've got lots of pics if you skip to last few pages of journal in my signature, first part is all about building my grow cab.

wow your girl went thru some serious stress, i'm not surprised it took so long to mature, i would have kept the lights at 20/4 thats whats specifically recommended by the breeder and switching to 12/12 probably added more stress to a plant that was just starting to heal. are your leaves still curling up like that around that plant? it looked crispy in last pic i saw, what nutes is she getting now and are you ph testing the soil or just your water? and i've seen you be unsure about your light height a few times, just use the hand test method,if its too hot for you hand its too hot for our plant, but if your plant is already stressed i'd stay on the safe side and keep light further rather than closer, good luck and i hope you still get some bud from her but the experience is the really valuable thing

Hahaha hell yeah man I'm open to any help I can get!! I haven't given her any nutes since the first time. I can see like small ball looking things in the corners of the colas, idk if that's just new leaves or what, she's starting to smell way better everyday lol. All of her pistols are getting really fuzzy and I see two small white hairs coming out down where the branches meet the stem. Is that signs that she might be flowering? And should I switch back to 20/4??? I really hope she makes some buds because of all the hard work time and effort that I put into her, but I'm so ready to chop her down if she isn't gonna produce and start my next grow!

I'm new to this so I'm learning as I go lol. I saw your thread and your pics on page 12, all those white hairs on the colas, are those just the pistols that turn white and get taller? Cause most of my pistols are getting super frosty looking !!!

as your plant goes into flowering you'll see small white pistils or "hairs" sprout from the main stem and at your preflowering sites. those pistils will grow some but mostly your plant will add many more as she goes, i wouldn't change light schedule again any light schedule change adds stress to plants and stress can make plants go "Hermi" making a female plant produce male pollen so keep an eye on your girl as those swollen spots should produce pistils and start to bud up but if you see balls i'd just take the plant down, once she's back to good health and flowering well you might switch back to 20/4 but thats your call. the more light your auto gets the more growth you'll have Good luck

HAHAHA i KNOW MAN!!! Im sooooooo ready to start my next grow bra, but i REALLY think that she is starting to flower!!! And im gonna take some better pics outside tomorrow in the sunlight, but here are a few i took today, i know its hard to make it out with the hps but i took a few pics of the main cola and the next biggest one. I went and looked at her today and she has pre flowers everywhere! those balls that i was seeing was tiny flowers, and on some on the colas, i can see new small pistols coming in! as you can see in the pic there are pistols everywhere! and shes starting to smell like something serious!!! tell me whatcha think of the pics!!!

I have her under a 150w sun system HPS. Here are a few pics i took in the sunlight, she has alot of pre flowers all over her and is really starting to smell good, I also see small new pistols growing on one of the colas. Tell me whatcha think, I think shes starting to flower, FINGERS CROSSED!

OKAY GROW WORLD, today is a GREAT DAY!!! I went and peeped out my lady, to find her first white hairs growing in!!! AHHHH ITS ABOUT TIME!!! I went in on paint and drawn an arrow and smilley face pointing to the hair, if you can zoom in you can see it perfectly!!!

well its normal to notice the hairs below the main top first, because the main top opens out and has hairs within its center and that takes a few days longer... my two recent GOM's are showing hairs ... but the top is still tightly closed haha

HELL YEAH!, on that cola I counted at least 4. And those little ball looking things I was seeing are turnig into flowers! Should I switch her back to 20/4 or wait until shes budding good? Oh yeah tomorrow my buddy is gonna let me use his grow tent!! I don't know the dimensions yet, but ill let ya know tom!!

no i wouldn't switch anything .... if your doing 12/12 to encourage flowering then i'd avoid causing anymore stress (thats my opinon i've never been in your situation).... its worth reading someone elses thread and see what results they got when the had bump started flowering

but in theory it only needs 5-6 hours of direct sunlight to survive ... so 12 should be enough to reward you (if thats what it wants give it to her IMO)

glad your girl is coming back around i'd keep her in 12/12 for now some people do their whole grow at 12/12. if you are going to switch back i would wait another 2 or 3 weeks then ease back in by maybe doing 18/6 before 20/4 again
