This strain is supposed to generate good yields right......they look quite a bit different from the ones I grew this summer and they looked pretty sweet after the purple started to show up!

i'm just wondering what your thinking of trimming them is?? like what benefit do you fore see from cutting off some of those lovely leaves??

but to answer your question, no, don't trim anything.. the leaves are the power plant for your plant, they hang out in the sun, ie, light, and convert light energy into sugars via photosynthesis..

Well maybe trimming was the wrong word, thinning out I guess. My pics arent great but Ill get some better ones with my good camera soon, they are sprouting shit all over the map up near the top (actually everywhere), new growth looks fantastic but Im concerned maybe not enough light penetration or upgrading to 600w?

trimming, thinning, six of one, half dozen of the other really...

like i said in my above post, it's the leaves that really make a plant grow, cut off enough leaves and the plant will eventually die... they look very nice and healthy as is, so don't go and do something stupid by cutting off the very things that are making them look good..

they look nice though, keep up the good work m8.. :)

Man, those are some of the healthiest plants I've ever seen; you really do know how to grow. Hopefully you won't swallow too much bullshit here and contribute some of your knowledge. I'm with Racerboy, don't cut off those beautiful solar panels. As you're aware of, roots make leaves and leaves make bud.

Tie some of the bigger leaves out of the way for short periods of time (You don't want to kill them) if you really think hitting them smaller under developed leaves with light is essential. Or you can let it be and let it do it's thing with nature a small breeze can help get light spread around a little extra.

Have to agree don't cut the leaves off, tuck them things to the side. Now your plants look great by the way, if you feel the the plant is too dense with inner branching, by all means you can thin some secondary branching out. this will translate into more growth on the primary branches and secondary branching you leave.
I wouldn't do any of that though until the girls are a bit bigger, my rule of thumb is once the plant is at 10 or 12 inches you can pretty much do what you want and the plant will be fine. Just don't cut the fan leaves.

DSC00325.jpgDSC00328.jpgDSC00326.jpgYeah thanks for the input guys, Im not using a bunch of nutrients yet just some flora nova and LK in lower doses, Ill try tying the leaves out of the way and I also lowered my light based on a pointer. The taller 3 are around 15 inches....can anyone suggest and ideal height before switching to flower or is it mainly based on personal preference and/or space available?

Not feeding them too hard just yet, Ive been using Floranova mixed with low doses of LK. The guy who talked me into Floranova said it works awesome but you need to tread lightly with it and I think he was correct as they seemed to have stunted for a few days. Have you or do you know of anyone who has had their light cycle interrupted ?
