Plain, No Nutrients (if possible) in it, always add perlite for drainage even if it says there is some in it.

Yes but even the Miracle Grow Perlite is only 2.99 for a big bag

well if you say i can use sand i think i will to the park and get some cups full of sand because its free.

Only If you have no other alternative. But getting a sprout to live is not as easy as everyone said (At least for me) and others will say that with the lowest amount of light and a pot anything is possible and results have been recorded. 9.00 for MG is not alot and yet others will tell you that MG is NOT good but I know many people who also say they use it.
Bottom line is plants have grown strong just cause someone threw a seed out a window. So go for what you can get but you might wanna bake the soil a little to remove inhabitants (1/2 hour at 180 deg) add the sand and run water through it to flush out any pesticides and whatnot. Should be good to grow

too much sand, and you need builders sand, not beach sand, i personally wouldnt use sand. you need to read the grow guides on the board jimmie

i got some dirt from a planter outside and it already has this white perlites in there.
my seed was in a damp/wettish napkin for about 30 hours and now it cracked and i see a white sprout inside. do i just plant it now or wait for the seed to come off?
