The Sour Grapes genetics have really good trichome production in general. I use Purple Maxx from Humboldt County's Own nutrients for added trichomes, weight, and to bring out the color in naturally purple strains. I've done a couple grows where I used the product and kept a select amount of plants without it and the plants that got it yielded more and has a lot more trichomes. It's really good shit. Jhod said they have a new product out called Crystal Burst. Haven't seen it but I'll keep an eye out next time I'm shopping. It sounds like it's another member of their nute line in the same category as Snow Storm Ultra and Purple Maxx.

Right now I'm feeding only water, Purple Maxx 1tsp/gal, Sweet 25ml/gal, and Diamond Nectar 8ml/gal. One more feeding of that and then I'm starting with gravity for 3 feedings.

Here's the Humboldt Countys Own nutes I'm using my buddy got me on this shit last year. Gravity & Bush Master are discountinued in Cali now from what I was told.

I use Bushmaster, Purple Maxx and Gravity. What do you find is different about Snow Storm and Crystal Burst?

Thanks no man!! Wud u recconmend it the purpl max?? Cud I use it on non purp strains for more trichs?What other nutes wud u say make the most diff in trichs?I'm growin sour grapes now to :) x white widow :)Sour.

I recommend the Purple Maxx for heavy trichome production. Just be really careful with it. Recommended dosage is 1/2-1 tsp per gallon on the label. You have to ease into that I've learned. Start out around week 3 1/2 to 4 with only 1/4 tsp/gal to make sure your plants don't get burned. Also watch your ppms. When I'm giving them a strong full dose of Purple Maxx at 1 tsp/gal I don't give the plants my base nutes. Only Purple Maxx, Sweet, and Diamond Nectar which keeps my ppm's low at 650-700. Bloombastic from Atami is another really good product for trichome production.

diamond nectar as well as great white i will run to...
what would u say plays the major role in ur grows for thc ..top 3 nutrients u use for trichome production?

The most important things I've found is being able to read your plants and adjust your nutrients accordingly. I try to feed the plants based on how they respond rather than following a feeding schedule off a website. Educate yourself on what is in your nutrients and what their function is in the plants growth. I've known people who were giving two products that were essentially the same thing but made by different companies. For instance, I had a friend who was giving his plants Big Bud and Super Bud Blaster at the same time because he heard they were good for increasing bud size. They are both good products but they're also doing the same thing so he ended up burning them and causing nute lock in his plants.

One big rule is to remember MORE IS NOT ALWAYS BETTER. It's easy to give your plants too much nutrients/fertilizers and even though you might not be seeing burn you could be causing nutrient lockout which is going to bring your plants growth to a stand still. Diamond Nectar (humic acid) is pretty good stuff and cheap at about $10 per liter. I would say the top products I've experienced for trichome production would be Purple Maxx, Bloombastic, and Snow Storm Ultra. Use one or the other though, not all three.

i saw ur feeding schedule i am really impressed also thanks for posting what week u did what helps alot

im using bloombastic now with my grow which is in my sig with good results ! but also running other things with it u no so i cant reallyyy tell.

diamond nectar helps the plants absorb the nutrients huh ?
