Physicians certification every year?

I think we shouldn't have to. As long as you maintain status why have an anual paper signing with my health provider at cost to him (time) and me (office visit co-pay/fee if you're lucky and insured) Just wondering where my opinion fell agains the RIU community.

I have a permanent disability. I think it is bullshit that I have to get a certification yearly for something that will never go away.

I guess I wouldn't mind so much if the state stuck to their end of the law and processed applications in a timely manner and wasn't looking for a way around the law to bust every patient/caregiver. I do not think the state deserves the money they are making on patients applications when they do nothing to uphold the law and make it nearly impossible for patients to get their meds.

I think every other year for renewal is good enough, every year is a bit extreme.

So do you have to go back to the doctor pay his fee plus give the state their fee all over again? I wasn't sure about this, I thought you just paid a renewal fee of half price. I was really thinking about just saying screw it and let the card laps because they keep trying to change the laws and put ordinances in place. Some of these ordinances are to stop collectives but directly impact patients who live in areas close to schools, bars,parks,beaches, and churches.I dont live anyware neer those places but if you have MS and live by a church your screwed unless prayer works for you.

ismokealotofpot - yeah, the renewals are usually cheaper for doc fees, but for the state, it's the same.

I wouldn't let that card lapse... they may be eroding the protections it offers, but they're so much better than nothing...

you got to the heart of my point stump, I don't really need to SEE Lary Flynt to know he is still paralyzed. It seems like another hoop to make it tougher to get treated, not easier. My doc knows me well, I can call him and get a script for an antibiotic for a sinus infection without a visit cuz he knows I get them and know what they are so.......premanent conditions need checking every year? All that for faulty half-ass psudo-protection from the feds by the state and smart-ass email responses too.

I was sure of that fact as well looking at the paperwork on-line all the info I could find but in practice I got my "fuck off letter" from the state just now (good thing I started the renewal fucking 3 months early or I'd be in it now) stating taht I need an anual check up and doc certification. so yeah, every year I got to have a doc sign that my permanent condition is indeed still there and as it says PERMANENT. redundant, sure retarded, probably costing me more and putting more hoops between me and my meds abso-fucking-lutely. Thought the law was there cuz I voted for the state to stop getting in the way, not to find more ways to get in the way.
