Newbie Question

I was recently introduced to weed. Introduced meaning I was completely oblivious, but rather never had it around me, never really went after it. I was able to get a bit from my friend, but alas I am close to running dry and my friend moved pretty far away. Like over state lines far away. So i'd be risky for me to travel just to get some and would prob damage our reletionship if I drove that far just to score some weed.

So I am not looking for a hook up, but rather some tips. And I don't mean someone telling me to go look at webehigh.com, because those tips are not for someone like me. I don't frequent bars, I don't goto college, and I don't think driving around "looking for hippies" is really a normal avenue to finding weed. It's kinda creeper to think of a grown 25 year old man driving up and down local college campus searching for dudes with dreds, and then approaching them in hopes THEY MIGHT have weed, AND THAT THEY MIGHT be dumb enough to trust a random stranger who just asked them if they had weed. Yea... not shady at all. I am willing to bet I'd be told to fuck off 99% of the time.

I got no co-workers and no friends who smoke. I keep my new favorite past time on down low for the most part. So I really feel like I am screwed once I go dry. A depressing thought.

How the heck does a guy like me realistically find a supply? I am almost tempted to roll into my local smoke shop and develop a relationship with the clerk in hopes he or she will MAYBE trust me enough one the day I tell them my plight. But even that sounds like a bad plan.

Any thoughts, ideas? Anyone else ever in my situations. I live in florida if that helps?

On a site like this, I hope you'll not be offended by answers like "learn to grow your own". Yes, there is a longish period where you're spending money and effort ... but the pleasures of growing your own weed of a known strain, and then trimming and curing it to your own specs ... is unbeatable imo.
Start with an autoflower to get you some "interim smoke", then grow a photoperiod plant for that top-shelf bud. cn

I wish. I live in an apartment. Small living space. No where to really put a plant so that it gets son without being in plain sight. Plus, if I can't find any weed, where the heck am I gonna find seeds.

Quite honestly, unless you grow your own or move to legal synthetics, your not going to get any. Easiest option - Just ask! Who cares, it's just weed. For example, if you do know of a headshop, go in there and ask if he knows anyone, more or less he will. In florida, it's more easy to get a gram of meth than a gram of weed, just sayin.

You can mail-order the seeds. Also explore the cfl/ computer case grow threads. Folks get pretty creative dealing with small spaces and low overall power draws. Where there's a will there's a way ... cn

Heh, I actually work for a religious organization. Raising that question in secret to any co-worker could seriously turn bad for me. Not that I don't think any of my co-workers have never smoked before but it's too risky to play that guessing game where I work.

And in research (i've been doing a lot to try and solve this problem), I've found options like K2 can have some pretty nasty side effects. There have been a few cases around here of people having seizures and other fucked up shit after taking K2. It seems kinda like a dice roll. One not worth taking.

That's what I mean. Other than those options (I strongly recommend growing your own) your only resort is asking around. Your more likely to come across low quality brick weed though.

Is it legal to buy seeds online. Are they all scams too? Haven't found much in terms of seed buying reviews. I saw the seed link at the top of this site, but no clue if it's legit. BTW, that case growing option is awesome. So smart. Found a youtube video showcasing low ryder strain inside a PC case. The only problem after that is masking the smell. Any ideas for that. Sorry to ask so many questions. As the thread states, I am a newbie :/, just trying to get some solid answers / suggestions from those who know better.

Is it legal to buy seeds online? Not really, but "don't ask don't tell" applies. For isolated indoor agrarians like yours truly, mail-order seeds are pretty much the only game in town. I've had three successes out of three tries.

Odor control is a headscratcher ... always was and always will be. The best answer is a fan drawing air through a carbon canister. Something else worth considering (expensive but effective) is an ozone unit such as the ones sold by Crystal Air (that's what i have). Either carbon or ozone is also effective at dealing with smoke smells. cn

it's illegal. ANYTHING to do with weed except STERILYZED seeds & hemp products etc. is illegal. the feds hate weed. in a few states, it's legal for medical use, but not at the federal level.

it's not as dangerous to buy seeds as it sounds though. i've bought them 5 times without ever having a problem. from the stories i've read here, even if your seeds DO get siezed, all that happens is you get a letter telling you that happened. i haven't heard of anyone getting busted for seeds in the US except the canadian vendor marc emory which is totally bogus as the US should have no jurisdiction over canadian citizens. it's just that he was so big, the feds decided to make an example of him because he was so high profile.

you'd best avoid buying from canada as that's where the feds have their sites set. if you see canadian seed banks, most of them won't ship to the US, but the UK isn't on the radar as much. i've had no problems bying from doctor chronic or gypsy nirvana.

If no, start reading up here cause there is a lot of information that friendly people will tell you on how to make your own.

Unfortunately I do not. I have seriously considered moving to Cali. I love the state (I visit once or twice a year), the culture, and the freedom .

Living in Tampa FL. A lot of business, not a lot of culture. I am moving somewhere within the next year, I just hope it is Cali. Altho from what I read, the feds are bullying med shops left and right. Dumb. Reminds me of Japanese whaling. Just a buncha ignorant ass holes fucking shit up because they have power and love to abuse it.
