Hello, so I just bought a Bernzomatic Solid Brass Torch Kit. Its pretty much a little propane tank/burner. My friend recommendedc it to me over a whole C02 tank as this cost only 20$ and a co2 system would be mad expensive.. I was wondering if this was the right purchase or if I can risk carbon monoxide poisioning, fire etc.? The deal is to turn it on for like 5 minutes and just let the flame burn?

Can anyone help explain this process of propane-> co2? Thanks.

im not an expert but you want blue flames. that indicates that all the fuel is being burned...... something like that.......

blue flames are good, anything other colors(red, yellow, etc) is bad...........

thats all the knowledge i can tell you my friend.

i have a headache...
C'mon man,are you serious ? If you got a headache its from dreaming up goofy shit not co2:rolleyes:.

You'd do just about as much good trying to take care of mold by lighting a whole book of matches at once as a sulfur burner.

If i was you i'd take that torch & burn your friend in the eye for giving you the idea, then burn your own eye for believing him.

ya for sure, i let it run for no more then 10 minutes... should I keep the door to my bedroom closed?

what I did was let it run for 10 minutes in my room, making sure that there was nothing it could catch flame to, and I let the CO2 fill the room I then went in, turned it off and left the room, with the door closed for 30 minutes(let the plants absorb it?) then I reopened the door to my bedroom and let air recirculate. Sound right?

try fermenting stuff. all you need is yeast, sugar, water, and a bottle.

its a lot safer, it constantly produces small amounts of co2, its safe, you dont have to worry about toxic fumes, its safe, you can put it right near your plants, its safe, you can have multiple ones going on at the same time, and did i say it was safe?

look in the DIY section for the proper ratio's.

hope that helped:mrgreen:

umm no it won't work, carbon monoxide(CO) is produced from burning things, carbon DIoxide(CO2) is what you want. At least you now have a nice little torch.
