The video is not nessecarilly accurate. In my state, Michigan, its labeled as closed, but thats just it, its only a label. We don't register based on party but this time they are calling it closed cause they are going to ask you If your a Republican when you walk in the door. The answer is yes. There is no offical process to it required. You just have to be registered and pretend your republican for a day.

All Democrats should go vote for Ron Paul that day..what else do you have to do? Im takin van loads of Michael More wellfarist to do it, not even kiding..I got about 25 locked and loaded...FREE DRUGS WOO! LEGALIZE IT!

I used to have a good count of the Ron Paul banners on my hour drive to work, now I have lost track...it is so on..
i went to a bar the other day, a fucking cowboy bar at that. People were wearing Ron Paul political paraphernalia, not one other candidate was represented, neither was Obama.

He did vote for the Bailouts...socialist.
socialism for the rich and capitalism for the poor is not what i would call socialism.

He does want government to take care of us all...socialist.
if we were to look into his mind, yes, he may want that. is that how he has governed? not at all. too much of a compromiser/pragmatist which is ineffectual since the right has decided to nose dive off a cliff to the right.

my claim was about the legislation passed by the 111th and 112th that was signed into law by obama. to call any of it socialism is a complete grasp at straws.

Soicalism and the nanny programs it endorses only keep a country in perpetual debt and its citizens in a constant state of want.
you misspelled a word, so naturally i have no idea what you are saying :)

The bailouts weren't socialism, they were corporatism. Socialism is where the workers get to vote on how a company is run. Socialism isn't a blanket word that describes everything you don't like about government. Now if they elected government got to actually take over the operations of those banks and kept the profits, you could argue that is socialism. But that's not what happened. The executives still ran the companies, they were not replaced with government employees.

Of course it isn't. It was created by a Ron Paul supporter. That's to be expected. It doesn't have to be accurate as long as it sounds good.
The Obama hope and change campaign proved that point particularly well I thought.

Like UB said, Socialism for the elite, a shit sandwich for the rest, or whatever "ism" you want to call it these days. If they took over the companies i would call it Communism, a form of socialism. Socialism IMO is when government takes over some of your responsibilities in order to provide the less fortunate with a perceived even playing field.
