Too late to top?

My plant's are over ten inches and I've decided I want to top them. Is it to late for that? At how long after I top do I need to wait before I can throw them into flower? Link in my sig is to my journal with my full set-up and pics if you need more info. Thanks:joint:

Nice looking plants. Definitely not too late to top. Someone else will have to answer the issue about how long you should wait before switching to flower - I don't know.

yea it's fine, maybe cut it from 2 nodes from the top...shouldn't make a difference if you put it into flower straight after. You will get some soccer mom grower come here saying you can "stress the plant", but I have topped, transplanted and made cuttings from plants in 12/12, and have flowered great.

I would just add that the "topped plant" may produce more if the topped stems are given more vegg time , depends on your preferences, most strains grow on at least a wekk when switched to 12/12, peace

I always have trouble getting my tops to root ? do you not have this issue ?
I will be pulling my tops in another weeks or so, using gel and powder. Will Be first time of me doing it, but lots of people have very good luck. Someone did a video awhile back using jiffy pellets and very small cuts with great luck. Want to say it was Goten.

I did some stupid/cheap and egotistical cloning about 20 days ago, a little bit of superthrive soaked pete pellets with pretty small (some probably too small) cuttings and with the exception of 1 that i accidentally dropped while handling on day 7 have been transplanted.

I toped some about the same height as yours and they turned out fine, I would veg a few days to get some growth started knowing they will stretch during flowering also.

Okay I just topped 'em. Thanks for all the great advise! I didn't clone them because I'm out of materials from taking some clones last week and flat broke :-|. I wasn't planning on putting them into flower for another couple of weeks.
