They look close, check the triche's milky white a heady high, amber couch lock, brownish smokeable but THC is breaking down.

to me, they look like they've still got a good two weeks or so on them easily.. just my opinion though as i like my buds done...

yes, they are turning colors on you, but they still need to recede back into the buds and then the calyxs will all swell fat and all yet..
i've always liked the saying that when you think that they're done, give them another week... :)

ATL is correct...about 3 more weeks. the hairs are still too white. wait a week before flushing. Then two more weeks of plain water, you will notice the smell boom like crazy as well as the size go crazy.

Looking good mate.. Easily 2 - 3 weeks to go there mate. Give them the full term, the buds will fatten greatly in the last 2 weeks or so. You've come this far don't stop short.

Good luck

I definately am not going to stop short, it's just that some of the hairs are turning orange so I thought I should flush. Glad you guys can help me out, I will definately wait a week or 2 to flush.

UPDATE!!!

Ok, starting week 9 of flowering today. The trichs are 100% milky white. Today is the day I normally feed them, so should I feed again for one more week or should I flush today? They are in FFoF Soil and I have been using the full FoxFarm line of nutes.

In soil I'd be laying off the nutes at this stage. Using just plain PH balanced water and letting 'em dry out completely between. At this stage the plants are about done forming any new flowers and only a ripening of what's already there is what you're after. So zero nutes is the rule in soil when you're that close. Most of the hairs s/b red or orange axcept only a few curly white ones at the very tops of the buds. Calyxes s/b very phat or swollen like there's seeds in them. and the trichs s/b just beginning to turn amber from milky white. And as someone already said, the pungent reek factor should have nearly doubled when they're ready. Keep in mind the final ripening is quite noticable over the course of the last two or maybe three days. This is what you want to wait for. And once you've experienced what they do you'll know for certain next time. Many growers pick their stuff too early and haven't a clue without experiencing those last days when they're really done.

Ok, so should I flush with a few gallons of water right now or just keep watering normally for another week? I just bought a bunch of gallons of distilled water anticipating a flush. Like I said the trichs are all white, none of them are turning amber or any other color as of today. I am guessing they will start to change sometime in the next week.

They look close, check the triche's milky white a heady high, amber couch lock, brownish smokeable but THC is breaking down.

The capitate-stalked glandular trichome changes color as it matures. Newly formed and immature glands are clear, glands reaching optimum THC production are cloudy or milky and amber trichomes have already passed their peak. By looking at the trichomes you can also determine the best time to harvest your plants. When most trichomes have gone cloudy and a few amber ones have appeared, the plant is at its peak.

CANNABINOL (CBN)

Cannabinol is the primary degradation product of THC and increases in concentration with plant age. The concentration of this product in the bud is heavily dependent on the time of harvest. Harvesting the bud at a late stage also means that the concentration of CBN in relation to THC will be higher when compared to the peak of THC production.

CBN is only mildly psychoactive and can cause "fuzzy head", drowsiness, disorientation and sleepiness in the smoker, properties that can be considered unpleasant in nature compared to the clear high of the THC.

Were you using FF additives as per label instructions?. My guess is yes, and it probably further confirms that their schedule is overkill. It's of little wonder why they sell their own flushing agent.

I cannot rely solely on trichome color to determine harvest for the simple reason some strains will never show amber. With this in mind, I try and use a combination of trichome color, pistil color, and pistil appearance. Generally I will wait until all pistils have changed color and are receding.

BTW, nice work!
